Lois Starkovich
GALLUP Memorial services for Lois W. Starkovich, 76, will
be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Father
Edwin Bryan-Diesen will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial
cemetery, Gallup. Starkovich died Nov. 29, 2007 in Gallup. She
was born Feb. 7, 1931 in Harmony, NY.
She graduated from high school in Phoenix, and attended Business
School; she moved to Gallup in the early 50s. She was active
in the community most of her life along with her friends.
Survivors include her daughters, Celine Starkovich, Annette Starkovich
Ishmael; two grandchildren.
Starkovich was preceded in death by Jack J. Starvoich.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Sacred Heart
Cathedral Family Center at 11:30 a.m. after services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rehoboth McKinley
Hospital Foundation, 1901 Red Rock Drive, Gallup.

Cecil Irving
PINEDALE Services are pending for Cecil Kenneth Irving,
52.
Irving died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2007 in Gallup. He was born April
2, 1955 in Pinedale into the Bed of Canyon People Clan for the
Black Streak of the Forest People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Marlene Curley
NAVAJO Services are pending for Marlene Curley, 40.
Curley died Monday, Dec.3, 2007 in Fort Defiance. She was born
Jan. 4, 1967 in Navajo into the Waters Edge People Clan for the
Bitter Water People Clan.

Gleyelth Curley-Baptiste
SANDERS Funeral services for Gleyelth Rayetavia Curley-Baptiste,
19, will be 11 a.m. Dec. 7 at the Klagetoh Shelter Mission. Burial
will be in Klagetoh Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 10
a.m. Dec. 7.
Curley-Baptiste died Nov. 28, 2007 in Sanders. She was born Aug.
27, 1988 in Phoenix into the Bitter Water People Clan for the
Sleeping Rock People Clan.
She attended Klagetoh Preschool, Naschitti Kindergarten , Washington
Elementary, Juan De Onate Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Phoenix
Elementary, Newcomb Jr. and Sr. High School, Fort Wingate High
School and Valley High School. She was last employed at the Chieftan
Restaurant in Chambers. Her hobbies included writing poetry, drawing,
acting out movie scenes, and she loved to sing, joke and make
others laugh. Baptiste loved to talk Spanish, eat, talk with friends
on the phone and play games with her sisters and cousins. She
played the clarinet and loved little children.
Survivors include parents, Jasper Baptiste of Naschitti, Sarah
Mae Curley of Klagetoh; brother, Chandler Curley of Phoenix; sister,
Tishinnia Baptiste of Naschitti; grandparents, Mary Alice Curley
of Klagetoh, Patricia B. Jake of Naschitti.
Curley-Basptiste was preceded in death by grandfathers, Thomas
Curley, John Baptiste.
Pallbearers will be Chandler Curley, Patrick Begay, Irvin Baptiste,
Fredrick Begay Jr., Kendrick Begay, Donavan Wilson.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Klagetoh Chapter
House after services.
