Raymond DeLara

RIO RANCHO — Memorial services for Raymond “Shorty” DeLara, 71, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Daniels Family Funeral Services, Rio Rancho. Father Gene Wohrlin will officiate. Private disposition will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup, Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Dec. 8 at the Daniels Family Funeral Services.

DeLara died Dec. 1, 2007 in Albuquerque. He was born June 21, 1936 in Madrid.

He attended school in Gallup. Managed Sprouse Reitz Dept. Store, he delivered parts for Napa Auto Parts, and worked in maintenance at Rio West Mall til he retired. He enjoyed spending time with family, playing his accordian and listening to music. Love of his life were his children and grandchildren. .

Survivors include sons, Albert DeLara, Steve DeLara, Edward DeLara, Joseph DeLara; daughters, Loretta Rosete, Debbie Cordova, Mary Silva; sisters, Josie Garcia, Anita Fierro; 31 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

DeLara was preceded in death by parents Alberto and Margarita DeLara; sisters, Cecilia Martinez, Virginia Gutierrez; son, Richard (Ricky) DeLara.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Daniels Family Funeral Services 10 a.m. Sat. Dec. 8, Rio Rancho.

SANDERS — Funeral services for Gleyelth Rayetavia Curley-Baptiste, 19, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Klagetoh Shelter Mission, Klagetoh. Pastor Kee Tabaha will officiate. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Klagetoh.
