ABOVE: Constructed in 2004, Tse Yi GaiHigh School is the most remote high school in the Gallup-McKinley County School district, and also one of the lowest attended. With an enrollment of only 143 students factors including bad weather and treacherous roads have the student body averaging only 87 percent attendance. Living Nativity: ABOVE: The Living Nativity at the First Baptist Church in Gallup, N.M. is in its 21st year of display. It began in the gymnasium at the church the first year and grew to its present day production. The pastor of First Baptist Church, Jay McCollum hopes the display will "help people find a personal relationship with Jesus Christ" and "draw closer to God," people that already believe. The event may be viewed again tonight, Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from 6-8 pm at 2112 College Dr. BELOW: Sarah Bostic dresses as a shepard with help from Anne McCollum before taking her place in the Living Nativity at the First Baptist Church in Gallup, N.M. Bostic believes the shepard character is humble. This is her fifth time taking part in the event.
