Nancy Ortiz

SAN ANTONIO — Funeral services for Nancy L. Ortiz, 67, will be 10 a.m. Dec. 21 at the Sacred Heart Catherdral. Rev. Edwin Bryan-Diesen will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup. A rosary will be recited at Rollie Mortuary Dec. 20.

Ortiz died Dec. 12, 2007 in San Antonio. She was born Oct. 7, 1940 in Gallup.

Ortiz was a high school graduate and worked at Rico Motors as the Credit Manager. She loved crafting, traveling and cooking.

Survivors include her sons, Alex Ortiz Jr., Frank Ortiz; daughters, Tori Lahman, Melissa Ortiz; brothers, Michael Herrera, John (Babe) Herrera, Gerald Herrera; five grandchildren.

Ortiz was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Ortiz; mother, Chiyo Herrera; father, John Herrera.

Pallbearers will be John Herrera, Michael Herrera, Vivian Baca, Mike Romero, Tony Trujillo and Gabirel Ortiz.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the KC Hall, after services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Anita Francisco

RED ROCK — Funeral services for Anita Mae Francisco, 57, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21 at the Rollie Mortuary Chapel. Pastor Eddie Rodriguez will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.

Francisco died Dec. 17, 2007 in Gallup. She was born April 29, 1950 in Rehoboth into the Towering House People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Francisco was a homemaker and was a self-employed silversmith. She enjoyed being around family and grandchildren and participating in community events.

Survivors include her husband, Perry Francisco of Red Rock; sons, Harlyn Francisco of Crownpoint, Hiram Francisco of Albuquerque; daughter, Dasray Francisco of Red Rock; brothers, Joe Brown, Emerson Yazzie, Jimmie Yazzie, all of Red Rock; sisters, Mary Johnson of To’Hajilee, Isabelle Largo of To’Hajilee, Bessie Washee of Shiprock, Sally Yazzie of Red Rock; three grandchildren.

Francisco was preceded in death by her parents, John Yazzie and Mary Brown Yazzie.
Pallbearers will be A.J. Jefferson, Roger John, Bradley Jim, Jarvis Lee, Henry John and Patrick Jack.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements
