Just add syrup: Hannah Hibbard, left, and Rachel Kennell
put together a plate of waffles and bacon on Saturday morning at
the First United Methodist Church during the all-you-can-eat Waffle
Breakfast fund raiser. Hannah and Rachel are two of the several
students who are trying to raise money for their summer travels.
Hannah is trying to go on a choir tour of Germany, and Rachel is
trying to go to the Key Club International Convention in Florida.

Lloyd Skacy uses a small pocketknife Thursday morning to carve a
piece of Navajo sandstone at the Veteran's Memorial Park in Window
Rock, Ariz. Skacy, currently living in Fort Defiance, says that
finding work in the area is hard and he has moved to several different
places so he can try to earn a living as a construction worker.

Anniversary Dance: Viola Ramirez and her husband, Godfrey,
dance the night away at the first Retired and Senior Volunteer Program
Valentine's Dinner and Dance at the Holiday Inn on Saturday night.
The Ramirez's will celebrate their 42nd anniversary on Valentines
Day. They were married in Window Rock after a Fats Domino concert
