Hoskie Haswood
HUNTERS POINT, Ariz Services for Hoskie
e. Haswood, 83, will be at 10 a.m., Feb. 22 at St. Michael Catholic
Church. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Haswood died Feb. 19 in Hunters Point. He was born March 15, 1923
in Black Hat, N.M. into the Towering House People Clan for the
Hairy People Clan.
He worked for the Pacific Railroad as a laborerer, parks and recreation
as a maintenance man and also was a carpenter for the Navajo tribe.
Survivors include his wife Helen P. Haswood of Hunters Point;
daughters Lorraine Hawood, Stella Haswood, Laura Wood, Marilyn
Haswood, Ellen Walters, Della McQueen, Linda Haswood, Geraldine
Haswood, Sharon Haswood, Lisa Hasood, Charmaine Haswood, all of
Hunters Point; brothers Robert Yazzie, Edward Yazzie, both of
Hunters Point and Leo Yazzie of St. Michaels; sisters Mary Tabaha,
Isabel Kee, Betty Emerson, all of Hunters Point; 26 grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Notah and Nellie Yazzie,
Justin Yazzie, Richard Begay and Bessie Chato.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Sheppie Natan
PINEHILL Services for Sheppie Natan,
89, will be announced at a later date.
Natan died in Zuni. He was born April 15, 1917 in Pinehill.
There will be a family meeting today at 6:30 p.m., at Jacqueline
Teengar's residence at NHA Housing #25 in Pinehill.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
