Luciano Brito
GRANTS A rosary for Luciano Brito, 71,
will be recited 7 p.m. today, Feb. 22 at Compassion Mortuary.
Brito died Feb. 16 in Albuquerque. He was born Nov. 3, 1935 in
Grants.
Survivors include wife, Tomasita Brito of Grants; children, Anthony
Brito of Grants, Michael Brito of Milan and Rita Chavez of San
Rafael; brothers, Joe Brito of Grants, Pino Brito of San Rafael,
Julian Brito of Cubero and Jimmy Brito of Grants; sisters, Tillie
Manning and Mary Dominguez, both of Grants, Rose Puga of San Antonio;
11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Brito was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Florita
Brito; brothers, Herman Brito and Dimas Garcia; sister, Precilla
Gutirrez.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Thomas Squyers
MILAN Services for Major Thomas L. Squyers,
84 will be held today, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Grace Baptist
Church in Milan. Pastor Dale Thatcher will officiate. Burial will
be with military honors by the Kirtland Air Force Base Honor Guard
at Grants Memorial Park.
Squyers died Feb. 18 in Milan. He was born May 7, 1922 in Polar,
Texas. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years. He was
a pilot and instructor of jet mechanics. and a World War II veteran.
He also retired after 20 years of civil service with the federal
government.
Survivors include his wife Lola Squyers of Milan; children Thomas
Squyers Jr., of Dallas; Gerald Lee Squyres of Corpus Christi,
Texas, Cynthia Ann Price of Houston, Tebecca Lynn Wojcteshowski
of Murray, Kent.; stepsons Gary Pearson of San Rafael, Freeman
Lusk of Milan; stepdaughter Phyllis Reese of Las Cruces, numerous
grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Tommy Lee Squyers
and Velma Squyers; brother Weldon Squyers and sister Wanda Squyers.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Lille Mae Cadman
TWIN LAKES Services for Lille Mae Cadman,
88, will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 23 at Cope Memorial Chapel
in Gallup. Burial will follow at the Gallup City Cemetery.
Cadman died Feb. 16 in Albuquerque. She was born Sept. 10, 1918
in Twin Lakes into the Meadow People Clan for the Bitter Water
People Clan.
Cadman went to Albuquerque Indian schools and received a GED from
WNMU. She worked in various restaurants in Gallup, was a rug weaver
and liked to sing gospel music.
Survivors include her sons Lester Cadman of Fort Defiance, Everett
Cadman, Kenneth Cadman, both of Twin Lakes, Anthony Cadman of
Gallup and Timothy Cadman of Cuba; daughters Marjorie Jones of
Gallup, Isabelle R. Sleuth of Naschitti, Joann Damon of Twin Lakes
and Julia Agoodie of Cornfield, Ariz.; 32 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren
and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Cadman; son Ernest
Cadman; sister Martha Watchman.
Pallbearers will be Pernall Yazzie, Nathan Damon, Leander Thomas,
Kenneth Cadman, Manuel Cadman and Frank Jones, Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Twin Lakes Chapter
House.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Glenn Harding
MARIANO LAKE, N.M. Services for Glenn
Harding, 85, will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 23 at Cope Memorial
Chapel. Harrie Largo will officiate. Burial will follow in Gallup
City Cemetery.
Harding died Feb. 18 in Gallup. He was born Oct. 10, 1922 into
the Mud People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.
Harding was in the U.S. Army in 1945-1946. He was a silversmith,
sheriff and a lineman for Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member
of the Disable American Veterans.
Survivors include his sons Raymond Harding, Chester Harding, both
of Mariano Lake, Eugene Harding of Tohatchi, Patrick Harding of
Tseyatoh, Chester Harding of Mariano Lake; daughters Roberta J.
Frank of Nahodishgish, N.M.; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Yazzie Harding; parents
Bah L. Johnson and Hosh aba dal; brother Glen Johnson; sister
Ellen Casamero; daughter Francine Harding and one son Johnson
Harding.
Pallbearers will be Alexander Frank, Samuel Frank, Sampson Frank
Jr., Patrick Harding, Amos Morgan and Patterson Thompson,
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
