Ernest Livingston

BREADSPRINGS — Services for Ernest Livingston, 55, will be 10 a.m., Thursday Jan. 4 at Rollie Mortuary Chapel. Pastor Jake Yazzie, Sr., will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gallup.

Livingston died Dec. 30 in Albuquerque. He was born June 23, 1951 in Fort Defiance into the Black Sheep People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.

Livingston attended Breadsprings Day School, Sunnyside Elementary School, Central Jr. High and Gallup High School. He was an auto body mechanic for 10 years, a journeyman carpenter and he was a construction supervisor with PC&M Construction Co. His hobbies included hunting, listening to music and outdoor activities.

Survivors include wife, Linda Livingston; sons, Albert Livingston, Lambert Livingston, Philbert Livingston and Nathan Livingston; mother, Mary Livingston; brothers, Ben Livingston, Larry Livingston, Bobby Livingston and Jimmy Livingston; sisters, Sally Antez, Gloria Livingston and Pauline Livingston; grandparents, Joe Pinto, Sr. and Alice Pinto and Fred and Francis Livingston; 8 grandchildren.

Livingston was preceded in death by his father, Joe Livingston.

Pallbearers will be Albert Livingston, Lambert Livingston, Philbert Livingston, Nathan Livingston, Jeremy Antez and Arvid Livingston.

The family will receive relatives and friends at 1 p.m. Jan. 4 at Breadsprings Chapter House.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Sandra Kuykendall

GRANTS — Services for Sandra J. Kuykendall, 56, will be 11 a.m. today, Jan. 3 at Grants Mortuary. Reverend Martin Bayang will officiate. Cremation has taken place.

Visitation will be before services at 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Jan. 3 at the mortuary.

Kuykendall died Dec. 29 in Albuquerque. She was born April 25, 1950 in Rapid City, S.D.

Kuykendall moved to the area in 1958.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Kuykendall and Edward Kuykendall, both of Albuquerque, Scott Swartz of Plainview, Texas.; daughter, Joyce Commo of McHenry, Ill.; mother, Joyce Martin of Grants; brothers, James Elwood of Torrington, Wyo., Donald Elwood and Lawrence Elwood, both of Denver, Colo., John Martin of Albuquerque; sister, Crystal Riddle of Albuquerque; five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Kuykendall was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Kuykendall and her father, A. Leland "Shorty" Martin.


Elsie Gee

LOW MOUNTAIN, Ariz. — Graveside services for Elsie Shorthair Gee, 86, will be 12 p.m. Jan. 3 at family land in Low Mountain, Ariz.

Gee died Dec. 28 in Phoenix. She was born May 3, 1921 in Big Arm Dam, Ariz. into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Big Water People Clan.

Gee was a homemaker, weaver, NAC member and cared for livestock during her lifetime.

Survivors include husband, Benjamin Gee; sons, Anson Gee, Johnny Gee, Gene Gee, Kee Yazzie Gee, Edward Gee, Jerry Gee and Alvin Gee; daughters, Linda Uentillie, Nancy Bigman and Marion Phillips; 51 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Gee was preceded in death by her son, Billy Gee.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Uentillie, Val Uentillie, Al Uentillie, Wright Wilson, David Gee and Rueben Gee.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the family residence in Low Mountain after services.

Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
