Coming Down: Backhoes equipped with jack hammers begin demolition of the Munoz overpass bridge Wednesday in Gallup. The bridge is shut down between Aztec Avenue and I-40, cutting off one of the main access points for drivers to get back and forth between the north to the south sides of town, creating traffic delays at the other roads that cross the railroad tracks. Trading Post Blaze: ABOVE: Firefighters work to control a house fire Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 491 north of Gallup, next to the Gas Max station. Firefighters from the Navajo Estates and Gallup Fire Departments responded to the scene and found that the house was completely engulfed when they arrived and there was nothing that could be done to salvage the building.
