Eleanor Johnson
GRANTS Services for Eleanor Rae Johnson,
73, will be Monday, Jan. 8 at Compassion Mortuary. Bishop Tom
Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Pioneer Memorial
Cemetery in Bluewater Village.
Johnson died Jan. 4 in Albuquerque. She was born Aug. 18, 1933
in Park City, Utah. She was a retired beautician.
Survivors include her husband Mark Johnson of Grants; daughters,
Yvonne Gray of Grants, Barbara Johnson, Dawna Wright, both of
Milan; sons Marty Johnson, Blain Johnson, both of Winnemucca,
Nev.; sisters, Barbara Evans of Clayton Calif., Dawn Kumlien of
Boles, Ark.; brothers Tom Nelson of Lacey, Wash.; 11 grandchildren
and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sumner Nelson and Mildred
Resiegh Nelson; sister Jesse Johnson; one brother Doug Nelson
and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Bryant Johnson, Shon Wright, Heath Wright,
Mark Putnam, Doug Nelson, Bruce Fuell and Sheridan Roberts.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Nichelle Edaakie
ZUNI Traditional services and wake for
Nichelle K. Smith Edaakie will be from 8-10 p.m., today, Jan.
6 at Aunt Jan Eusace's house in Zuni, #04-B Pincion Street and
then from 10 p.m. until Sunday morning at Rose Peywa's house #25
on St. Anthony Drive. Burial will follow on Sunday morning in
Zuni.
Survirors include her sons Evan and Richard Edaakie; daughters,
Ashley, Katherine, Chelsey Edaakie, all of Zuni; father Delfred
L. Smith; brothers Ritchie Simplicio, Dana Smith; sisters Kimberly,
Amber, Tawny Samith and three grandchildren.
Edaakie was preceded in death by her mother Geraldine J. Smith.
Rose Joe
PINE SPRINGS Services for Rose C. Joe,
59, will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 8.
Joe died Jan. 4 in Gallup. She was born Dec. 19, 1947 in Vidal,
Calif.
Joe was a resident of Pine Springs and she graduated from Stewart
Indian School. She also attended nursing school in Denver. She
retired with the BIA at Pine Springs Elementary School.
Survivors include her husband Wilson L. Joe; sons, Reuben Joe,
Gregory Joe, both of Pine Springs, Kendall Joe of Flagstaff; daughter
Nikarri Joe of Pine Springs; brothers Johnny Secatero, Leonard
Secatero, both of Lukachukai, Jerry Secatero of Dilcon, Frank
Secatero of Alamo, Bruce Secatero of Steamboat, Ariz.; sisters
Frances Secatero and Rosecita Secatero, nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by James Secatero.
Pallbearers will be Wilson L. Joe, Rueben Joe and Kendall Joe.
Sherwin Sheppard
PAGE, Ariz. Services for Sherwin Sheppard,
22, will be 10 a.m., Monday, Jan 8 at Mariano Lake Community Bible
Church in Mariano Lake. Pastor Willie Tsosie will officiate. Burial
will follow in family land in Marian Lake.
Sheppard died Jan 3 in Durango, Colo. He was born Feb. 16, 1984
in Tuba City into the Clump Tree Clan for the Tangle People Clan.
Sheppard was attending school in Page and NAU in Flagstaff. At
the time of his death he was employed with the Durango School
District as a maintenance man.
Survivors include his parents Paul and Katherine Sheppard of Page;
brothers Jamie Sheppard of Durango, Theron Sheppard of Flagstaff;
sister Kaula Sheppard of Page; grandparents Helena Sheppard of
Hard Rock Mission, Ariz., Christine Yazzie of Mariano Lake.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Chee, Lucas Chee, Gregg Golden, Silance
Golden, Steven Synder, Sheldon R. Yazzie.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Glenn McDorman
FENCE LAKE Services for Glenn McDorman,
67, will be announced at a later date.
McDorman died Jan. 5 in Fence Lake. He was born April 25, 1939
in Fence Lake.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
JoAnn Cayaditto
PREWITT Services for JaAnn Wylie Cayaditto,
39, will be announced at a later date.
Cayaditto died Jan. 4 in Gallup. She was born July 10, 1967 in
Gallup into the Water Flows Together People Clan for the Folded
Arms People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
