Louise Martinez
ALBUQUERQUE Services for Louise Martinez,
54, will be 10:30 a.m. Jan. 20 at St. Francis Catholic Church
in Gallup. Cremation has taken place.
A rosary will be recited 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, prior to services
at St. Francis Catholic Church.
Martinez died Jan. 12 in Albuquerque. She was born Feb. 9, 1952
in Gallup.
Martinez attended Catholic Schools and graduated in 1970.
Survivors include her son, Gabriel Martinez of Albuquerque; brothers,
Joseph Martinez of Tulsa, Okla., John Phillip Martinez of Phoenix,
Jake Martinez, Jr. of Talaquah, Okla., Edward (Luke) Martinez,
Sigfredo Martinez and Louis Martinez, all of Gallup, Bob Martinez
of Muskogee, Okla.; sisters, Gertude DiLitta, Ann Lopez of Virginia
Beach, Va. and Mary Martinez of Phoenix; and three grandchildren.
Martinez was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Clara
Martinez; and Patrick Martinez.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Sacred Heart
Family Center after services.
Jennie Desiderio
HAYSTACK Services for Jennie Desiderio,
80, will be 10 a.m. Jan. 20 at the Prewitt Assembly of God in
Prewitt. Pastors Bobby Martinez and Ruth Droll will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park in Grants.
Desiderio died Jan. 15 in Crownpoint. She was born Dec. 25, 1926
in Haystack.
Survivors include children, Joan Payton of Mariano Lake, Johnny
Ray Desiderio of Haystack, Marie Yazzie of Chinle, Harry Desiderio
of Bluewater, Mary Desiderio of Thoreau and Curtis Ramon of Crownpoint;
39 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and three great-great
grandchildren.
Desiderio was preceded in death by her husband, John Desiderio,
Sr.; parents, Sophie Cayaditto and Martine Cayaditto; sister,
Emma Delgarito; brothers, John Desiderio and Martine Martinez.
Pallbearers will be Virgil Manuelito, Marty Duran, Matthew Ramone,
Michael Desiderio, Gabriel Desiderio and Harris Desiderio.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Theresa Petrolati
GRANTS Memorial rosary for Theresa "Tiny"
Murdoch Petrolati, 73, will be 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22 at St. Teresa
de Avila Catholic Church in Grants. Father Alberto Avella will
be the celebrant. Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 at Grants
Memorial Park.
Petrolati died Dec. 7 in Grants. She was born June 28, 1933 in
North Town, Pa.
She was employed as a bartender at local bars and made many friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Jacqui Sterner of Ottsville, Pa.,
Elaine Gregory of Grants, and many friends.
Petrolati was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Agnes
Finizio.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Alexander Thomas
BREADSPRINGS Services for Alexander Thomas,
38, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 at Cope Memorial Chapel
in Gallup. Bishop Jerry DuBois will officiate. Burial will follow
at Sunset Memorial Park in Gallup.
Thomas died Jan. 15 in Gallup. He was born Dec. 8, 1968 in Gallup
into the Black Streak Forest People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
Thomas finished high school and attended 2 years of College. He
was employed with KGAK, Breadsprings and Houck Chapter Houses,
Ellis Tanner and a veternarian clinic in Window Rock. His hobbies
include cooking and joking witrh family members.
Survivors include mother, Rose T. Yazzie of Breadsprings; brothers,
Timothy Hannah of Breadsprings and Herman Hannah of Ramah; sister,
Irene Begay of Breadsprings.
Thomas was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nellie Thomas
and brother, Dennison T. Yazzie.
Pallbearers will be Herman Hannah, Conway Hannah, Eli Hannah,
Albert Thomas, Wilfred Davis and Nelson Bitsilly.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Breadsprings
Chapter House after services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Josie Padilla
MESA, Ariz. Memorial services for Josie
Padilla (Aragon), 79, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 at St.
Francis Catholic Church in Gallup.
Padilla died Jan. 13 in Mesa. She was born in Gallup.
Survivors include her sons Carlos and Ralph; daughters, Dorothy
and Sarah; brothers, Herman Padilla and Claudio Padilla; sisters,
Pauline, Petra and Rita; 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren
and two great-great grandchildren.
Padilla was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Aragon, Sr.;
son, Gabriel Aragon and daughter, Carolyn Aragon and one grandchild.
The family will receive relatives and friends at 3401 Zia Drive
in Gallup after services.
