Molly Caplan

ALBUQUERQUE — Graveside services for Molly Belle Caplan, 90, will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Fairview Memorial Park in Albuquerque.

Caplan died Jan. 27. She was a resident of Indianapolis for 60 years prior to moving to Albuquerque to be with her family. She has friends in the Gallup area. Survivors include her son, Michael Caplan of Albuquerque, and one grandchild.

Caplan was preceded in death by her husband, Morris "Murray" Caplan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Albuquerque Academy.


Irene Owaleon

TOHATCHI — Services for Irene Balchinclong Owaleon, 67, will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31 at the Navajo Christian Reformed Church. Stanley Jim will officiate. Burial will follow at the Tohatchi cemetery.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m., today, Jan. 30 at Cope Memorial Chapel.

Owaleon died Jan. 26 in Farmington. She was born July 10, 1939 in Tohatchi into the Tangle People Clan for the Sleeping Rock People Clan.

Owaleon attended Teec Nos Pos Boarding School and graduated from Phoenix Indian School. She also attended trade school in Okla. She worked at the Shiprock Farchild plant when it opened until it closed.

Survivors include her father Wado Balchinclonney of Winslow; brother Abe Balchinclawing of Shiprock; sister Mary E. Dennison of Tohatchi, and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother Lorraine Dennison; her husband Arthur Owaleon; grandparents Halerman Dennison and Mary Dennison.

Pallbearers will be Erwin Dennison, Joshua Smith, Gerald Dennison-Smith, Darrell Dennison, Ryan Dennison, Michael Dennison Jr., and Ryan J. Dennison.

There will be a reception at the Tohatchi Chapter House on Wednesday, Jan. 31, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.


Jack Yedinak

THOREAU — Service for Jack Harry Yedinak, 88, will be announced at a later date.

Yedinak died Jan. 27 in Grants. He was born Nov. 29, 1918 in Superior, Wyo.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
