Delfina Martin

GALLUP — Funeral services for Delfina H. Martin, 89, will be at 9 a.m. July 3 at St. Francis Church. Father Lalo will officiate. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Gallup.

A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. at St. Francis Church.

Martin died June 27, 2007 in Gallup. She was born September 25, 1917 in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Martin was a child care provider. She enjoyed her children and loved to dance and cook.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara A Wilson of Gallup and Leona Diaz of Gallup; brother, Reyes Hernandez, Jr.; sisters, Virginia Ramsey of Panama City, Florida and Lupe Olson of Gallup; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Martin, Sr.; son, Robert Martin, Jr.; daughter, Linda M. Dimas; Parents, Reyes Hernandez, Sr., Nieves Garcia, Linda Hernandez; brothers, Frank Garcia, Frank Thomas and Joseph Hernandez, and Helen Zuitak.

Pallbearers will be Ernie Wilson, Keith Wilson, Isaac Olson, Carlos Olson, Marcos Sanchez, and Lee Yazzie.

The family will receive relative and friends at 200 W. Princeton in Gallup.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Debra Jaramillo

CUBERO — Funeral Mass for Debra Jaramillo, 52, will be at 9 a.m. Monday, July 2 at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church in Cubero. Burial will follow at the Cubero Community Cemetery.

Jaramillo died June 29, 2007 in Cubero. She was born June 29, 1955 in Cubero.

Survivors include her son Rosendo Jaramillo of Alvin, Texas; father, Daniel Vallejos of Albuquerque; brothers, Rudy Vallejos of Los Lunas and Carlos Vallejos of Moquino, NM; sisters, Germanie Vallejos of Cubero, Delilah Vallejos of Albuquerque, Elizabeth Vallejos of Grants, and Gloria Salazar of Albuquerque; and one granddaughter.

Jaramillo was preceded in death by her mother Ramona Vallejos; and brother, Anthony Vallejos.

Pallbearer will be Marylnn Chavez, Becky Sanchez, Miguel Rodriguez, Tony Salazar, Ramon Juarez, and David Chavez.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Anthony Peters

WINDOW ROCK — Traditional services for Anthony W. Peters, 60, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 2 at the Paraje Cemetery in Paraje, NM.

A traditional wake was at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 1 at the family home in Paraje.

Peters died June 28 in Fort Defiance. He was born December 6, 1946 in Laguna.

Peters was retired from the BIA Roads Department.

Survivors include his wife, Winnifred Chester Peters of Window Rock; son, Anthony W. Peters, Jr. of Grants; step daughter, Sharon Lynch of Phoenix; mother, Lupe Peters of Paraje; brother, Stanley Peters of Paraje; sisters Lucille of Paraje and Josephine Martin of Old Laguna.

Peters was preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin Peters; and sister, Elizabeth Peters.


Linda DeWeese

GALLUP — Memorial services for Linda DeWeese, 72, will be at 1 p.m. today, July 2 at the Westminister Presbyterian Church in Gallup.

DeWeese died June 23, 2007 in Gallup. She was born April 30, 1937 in Piqua, Ohio.

Survivors include her husband, James DeWeese of Gallup; sons, William "Bill" DeWeese of Albuquerque, David DeWeese of Gallup, Brian DeWeese of Gallup, and Kevin DeWeese of Gallup; mother, Wilma Harrod of Piqua, Ohio; brother, Richard Harrod of Piqua, Ohio; sisters, Susan Christy of Piqua, Ohio, Rosemary Driver of Piqua, Ohio, Nancy Haney of Piqua, Ohio, and Shirley Harrod of Piqua, Ohio; six grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

DeWeese was preceded in death by her father, Cletus Harrod; birth mother, Mary Jane Harrod.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Little Sisters of the poor.

Crystal Fierro

GALLUP — Services for Crystal Fierro, 25, will be announced at a later date.

Fierro died June 30, 2007 in Rural Cibola County. She was born February 15, 1982 in Gallup.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Harrison Morris

NASCHITTI — Services for Harrison Morris, 70, will be announced at a later date.

Morris was a well known medicine man.

The family will have a family meeting tonight, July 2 at the family residence.

Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
