Jennie Brentari

GALLUP — Funeral Mass for Jennie Marie Brentari, 87, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14 at Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Church. Very Reverend Lawerence J. O'Keefe will officiate. Brentari died July 10, 2007 in Gallup. She was born Feb. 22, 1920 in Navajo Camp, NM.

Brentari graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1938. She was the office manager for the W.M. Bickel Company. Brentari was active with the McKinley General Hospital Women's Auxillary. In her younger years, she was a state champion bowler, and later joined the Gallup Women's Golf Association. She enjoyed traveling, bridge, and gardening with her husband.

Survivors include her son, John A. Brentari, III of Anacortes, Wash.; daughters, Dorothy Brentari of Cupertino, Calif. and Ruth Brentari of Greenbrae, Calif.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.

Brentari was preceded in death by her husband, John Brentari.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Brentari, John Kozeliski, Eddie Kozeliski, Richard Kozeliski, Steve Parker, Tom Kozeliski, Frank Kozeliski, and George (Punk) Kozeliski.

The family will receive relatives and friends at 1112 Country Club Dr. following the services.

Donations may be made to Casa Angelica, 5629 Isleta Blvd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Roger Begay, Jr.

WINDOW ROCK — Funeral Services for Roger Nelson Begay, Jr., 41, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14 at Navajo Baptist Church in Steamboat. Pastor Harold Noble will officiate. Burial will follow on family land in Steamboat.

Begay, Jr. died July 11, 2007 in Fort Defiance. He was born May 24, 1966 in Ganado into the Honey Combed People Clan for the Big Water People Clan.

Survivors include his wife Irma Begay; sons, Kyle Begay, Kaven Begay, Cole Begay, and Tyrell Begay; daughter, Felicia; mother, Eva R. Begay; brothers, Rambert Begay, Ronald Begay, and Rueben Begay.

Begay, Jr. was preceded in death by his father, Roger Nelson Begay, Sr.

Tse Bonito is in charge of arrangements.
