Shirley Hernandez
GALLUP Memorial services for Shirley
Jean Hernandez, 59, will be at noon, Saturday, July 28 at Kingdom
Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Dennis Sandoval will officiate.
Hernandez died July 21, 2007 in Gallup. She was born Sept.12,
1946.
Hernandez was a housewife and mother. She was baptized as one
of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1988. Survivors include her husband,
Federico Hernandez of Gallup; daughters, Debra Gilmore and Kathy
McNeal both of Los Angeles, Calif.; brothers, Howard McNeal of
Modesto, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Hernandez was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and
a daughter, Marlyn Walker. The family will receive relatives and
friends at the Community Center following services.

SUNDANCE Graveside services for Jim McDaniel
Jim, 29, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27 on family land in
Springstead.
Jim died July 23, 2007 in Albuquerque. He was born June 13, 1978
in Gallup into the Zuni People Clan for the Towering House People
Clan.
Jim attended Church Rock Elementary, John F. Kennedy Middle School,
and Gallup High School. He was employed with E & E Distributing
as a Warehouse Supervisor and Perkins Restaurant both in Lawrence,
Kan. Jim enjoyed traveling , watching t.v. and movies, and visiting
family.
Survivors include his daughters, Shai-Ann Jim and Aknyda Jim;
mother, Marie L. Jim; brothers, Nathaniel Jim, Manuel "Mattee"
Jim, and Darin D. Jim; sisters, Charlene Smith, Darlene Lesher,
Arlene "Arlo" Jim, and Sharon Begay; grandparents, Rena
Touchine, John and Annie Yazzie.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Daniel "Joe Cool"
Jim.
Pallbearers will be Ty Smith, Dustin Lesher, Kyle Lesher, Edwin
Livingston, Dereck Begay, and Darin D. Jim.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Rena Touchine's
residence following services.

Kimisha Jim
TSA-YA-TOH Funeral services for Kimisha
Rae Slim Jim, 12, will be at 10 a.m. today, July 26 at Rollie
Mortuary. Pastor Ted Farris and Pastor Christian Watchman will
officiate. Burial will follow at Gallup City Cemetery.
Jim died July 21, 2007 in Spencer Valley. She was born Aug. 16,
1994 in Gallup into the Black Streak People Clan for the Salt
People Clan.
Jim attended Wingate Elementary School and was to enter the eighth
grade. She enjoyed listening to Native Country Rez bands, dancing,
making jokes, laughing, four wheeling, watching movies, and putting
a smile on people's faces.
Survivors include her parents, Patricia A. Smith of Tsa-ya-toh
and Sam S. Jim, Jr. of Continental Divide; brothers, Farrill G.
Smith of Albuquerque, Brandon J. Lee, Ronnie J. Lee, Jr. of Phoenix,
and Kendric S. Jim of Tsa-ya-toh; sisters, Kaylynn R. Jim and
Tamara S. Jim of Tsa-ya-toh; grandparents, Priscilla S. Long of
Tsa-ya-toh, Sammy N. Smith of Gallup, and Mary S. Jim of Continental
Divide.
Jim was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Rose
Smith, Effie S. Lewis, Leroy Smith, Mary Smith, and Ruby Smith.
Pallbearers will be Randy Lee, Harrington Lee, Woody Spencer,
Eric Spencer, Jason Bahe, and Farrell Smith.
The family will receive family and friends at Tsa-ya-toh Multi-purpose
Building.

Michael Mullins
GALLUP Services for Michael Mullins,
73, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28 at Westminister Presbyterian
Church in Gallup. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Mullins died July 17, 2007 in Gallup. He was born Sept. 26, 1933
in Sanders.
Mullins was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his brother, Francis "Little" Cardy
of Sanders; nieces, Tammy DeWeese of Gallup, Delphina Gurley of
Gallup, and Avis S. Mullins of Albuquerque; nephews, Michael Mullins,
Jr. of Shiprock, Valentino Watchman of Las Vegas, Nevada, Pasquale
Martin of Phoenix, Marty Martin of Gallup, and Mark Martin of
Albuquerque.
Mullins was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Mullins and
Helen Begay Mullins-Cardy; brother, Patrick Mullins; and sister,
Mary J. Mullins-Gurley.

Fred Smith
SANDY, Utah Funeral services for Fred
N. Smith, 69, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28 at Larkin Sunset
Gardens. Burial will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 27 and one hour
prior to services.
Smith died July 24, 2007 in Sandy, Utah. He was born Aug. 30,
1937 in Twin Lakes.
Smith graduated from Brigham City Indian School in 1957. He retired
from Kennecott Copper Mine as a welder after 37 years. H enjoyed
hunting, fishing, camping, and being with family.
Survivors include his wife, Frances G. Smith; son, Brent F. Smith
of West Jordan, Utah; daughters, Sharon A. Gilbert of Brighton,
Utah, Kaelyn A. Moore of West Valley City, Utah, Gerilyn L. Tsosie
of Waterflow, NM, and Brenda S. Jake of West Jordan, Utah; sisters,
Rita Shirley, Rose Anna Tsosie, Barbara Stump, and Virginia Bernstein;
and 14 grandchildren.
Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Lena Smith;
son Darren Smith; brothers, Richard N. Smith and Carl Lee Smith;
and one grandchild.
Joyce Villalobos
EL PASO, Texas Funeral services for Joyce
Evelyn Moffett Villalobos, 71, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July
28 at Faith United Methodist Church in El Paso.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 27 at Martin
Funeral Home.
Villalobos died July 20, 2007. She was born Feb. 22, 1936 in Sylvester,
Texas.
Villalobos graduated from Roby High School in Roby, Texas and
Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts and Masters
Degree in Education. She belonged to the Delta Phi Educational
Sorority. Villalobos and her husband moved to Ganado, Ariz., in
1960 where they taught and lived for 26 years. She also taught
at San Elizario Independent School District, Gadsden ISD, and
was a substitute teacher for El Paso ISD. She enjoyed traveling.Survivors
include her husband, Cecil Segura Villalobos; sons, Carwin Scott
Villalobos and Coby Sean Villalobos; brother, Charles A. Moffett
of Pottsville, Penn.; sisters, Maxine Campbell of Chula Vista,
Calif. and Gloria Irwin of San Diego, Calif.; and two grandsons.
Villalobos was preceded in death by her parents, Onus and Beulah
Moffett; brothers, Raymond Moffett, Chester Moffett, Onus Moffett,
Jay Moffett, and Hoy Moffett.
Pallbearers will be Lilia Martonak, Sharon Mayo, Betty Guerrero,
Laura Guerrero, Tyrone Beyale, Catherine Castillo, Ruben Duarte,
and Cecilia Macias.
A luncheon and reception will follow services.
Donations may be made to Faith United Methodist Church.
Phillip Roberts
NASCHITTI Funeral services for Phillip
John Roberts, 41, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27 at St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Tohatchi. Father John will officiate. Burial
will follow in Naschitti.
Roberts died July 24, 2007 in Naschitti. He was born June 17,
1966 in Gallup into the Towering House People Clan for the Bitter
Water People Clan.
Roberts graduated from Gallup High School where he was in Cross
Country and Track and Field. He was a horse trainer/ferrier by
trade and a amateur bull rider. He loved to run.
Survivors include his mother, Pauline Roberts of Naschitti; brothers,
Randy Roberts of Naschitti; Patrick E. Roberts, Jr. of Fort Defiance;
and Randall Roberts of Sundance; sisters, Pearline Roberts and
Roberta Roberts of Naschitti.
Roberts was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam Brown Denetdeal
and Annie Perry Brown.

Nellie Winnett and Lawrence Winnett, II
GRANTS Funeral services for Nellie Mary
Winnett and Lawrence Edward Winnett, II, newborn twins, will be
at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28 at the First Baptist Church in Ignacio,
Colo. Burial will follow at a family cemetery in Rosa, N.M.
Nellie died July 14, 2007. She was born July 13, 2007 in Albuquerque.
Lawrence died July 10, 2007. He was born July 10, 2007 in Albuquerque.
Survivors include their parents, Lauren Winnett, Sr. and Earlene
Winnett of Grants; brothers, Darryl Maldonado of Grants and Lauren
Winnett, Jr. of Farmington; sisters, Danille Maldonado and Samantha
Maldonado both of Grants; grandparents, Lawrence Winnett, Sr.
of Portland Oregon, Sophia Winnett of Farmington, and Gerald Servants
of Albuquerque.
The Winnett twins were preceded in death by their grandmother,
Nellie Hatch.
