Jimmy Larry

SMITH LAKE — Funeral services for Jimmy Larry, 65, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Rev. Glenn E. Marshall will officiate. Burial will follow at the Gallup City Cemetery.

Larry died July 23, 2007 in Gallup. He was born Aug.19, 1941 in Thoreau into the Towering House People Clan for the Water Flow Together People Clan.

Larry attended Wingate Boarding School. He was employed with WW Construction as a Laydown Machine Heavy Equipment Operator for 24 years. Larry was a rancher and handyman around the house. His hobbies were watching NFL, wrestling and high school basketball. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Etta Larry of Smith Lake; sons, Alton J.. Larry of Thoreau, Jamie J. Larry of Smith Lake, and Alvin J. Larry of Thoreau; daughters, Lisa R. Larry of Thoreau, Melissa R. Loretto Thoreau, Theresa R. Larry of Smith Lake, and Vanessa R. Larry of Smith Lake; sister, Dorothy Harry of Thoreau; and 11 grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Chee Larry and Martha Jim Mariano.

Pallbearers will be Alton J Larry, Alvin Mariano, Albert Loretto, Leroy Delgarito, Virgil Tsosie, Jr., and Randall Begay.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Smith Lake Chapter.

Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
