A late-night thunderstorm Friday flooded Big Bear, destroying
all the inventory of the store. Community members and employees
were cleaning off some of the less-damaged furniture to hopefully

Bishop Donald Pelotte of the Diocese of Gallup was found in his
home on Monday, July 23, with serious head injuries. The police
report filed indicated that Pelotte may have sustained the injuries
from something other than a fall as previously reported. [Photo
