Kevin Begay
BREADSPRINGS Funeral services for Kevin
Kyle Begay, 20, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Breadsprings
Church of God Holiness. Burial will follow on the family plot
in Breadsprings.
A visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today, June 5 at Cope Memorial.
Begay died May 31, in Gallup. He was born April 20, 1987 in Gallup.
Begay graduated in 2006 and attended the UNM Gallup-Branch. When
he was younger, he enjoyedwooly riding and steer riding. Begay
played sports, loved to cook, enjoyed fishing, and was active
with the men's basketball league.
Survivors include his daughter, Carmella Begay of Gallup; parents,
Calvin Begay of Tohatchi and Martha L. Francisco of Breadsprings;
brothers, Dallas Begay of Sanders and Calvin Begay, Jr. of Window
Rock; sisters, Marsha Hoskie of Breadsprings, Tiffany Begay and
Whitney Begay,both of Sanders, Kaitlyn Dee of Shiprock; grandparents,
Tony Begay and Yvonne Begay of Tohatchi and Ralph Livingston of
Breadsprings.
Begay was preceded in death by his grandmother, Evelyn Livingston.
Pallbearers will be Benson White, Anthony Marrufo, Brian Johnson,
Delbert Eddie, Jerome Yazzie, and Allen Lee.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Breadsprings
Chapter following services.
Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
Devlin Sheets
GRANTS Funeral services for Devlin Sheets,
infant, will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, at the Church of
Christ in Grants. Pastors, Charlton Taylor and Reuben Thomas will
officiate. Burial will follow on private family land.
Sheets died May 3, in Grants. He was born March 31, 2006 in Grants.
Survivors include his parents, Dustin Sheets of Milan and Nancy
Sheets of Grants; brother, Harley Sheets of Grants; grandparents,
Catherine King of Grants, Wyman King of Grants, Tom and Rhonda
Sheets of Milan.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Martha Hunt
GALLUP Memorial services for Martha N.
Hunt, 89, was May 29, in Angleton, Texas. Burial followed in South
Shore, Ky.
Hunt died May 27. She was born in 1917 in Garrison, Ky.
Hunt came to Gallup to teach at Mexican Springs and Tse Bonito
with the McKinley County School District and later at Gallup ISD.
Survivors include her sons, Brooks Hunt and John Hunt of Ignacio,
Colo.; daughters, Gail Parsons of Angleton, Texas and Sharon Hunt
of Gallup; sister, Ruth Gubbins of Charleston, W. Virginia; 11
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Hunt was preceded in death by her husand, Howard Hunt; parents;
two brothers; and four sisters.
Haskie Pahi
NAVAJO, Ariz. Funeral services for Haskie
Pahi, 90, will be at 10 a.m. June 6, at St. John the Evangelist
in Houck, Ariz. Father Berard Doerger will officiate. Burial will
follow at Newland Cemetery in Sanders.
Pahi died June 2, in Gallup. He was born December 13, 1916 in
Shonto into the Reed Clan for the Red Running into Water Clan.
Pahi was a rancher and a medicine man.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Pahi of Chambers, Ariz.; sons,
Elwood Pahi of Holbrook; daughters, Betty Pahi of Phoenix and
Mary Pahi of Chambers; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family members.
A reception will be at Navajo Springs following services.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Susie Skeets
DENVER, Colo. Services for Susie S. Skeets,
46, will be announced at a later date.
Skeets died June 2, in Gallup. She was born May 4, 1961 in Chicago,
into the Bitter Water Clan for the Towering House Clan.
