Stacielynn Chee

FT. DEFIANCE — Funeral services for StacieLynn "Miss Lynnie" Chee, 14, will be at 10 a.m. today, June 7 at the Grace Navajo Baptist Church in Mentmore. Christian Jerald Watchman will officiate. Burial will follow in Gallup City Cemetery.

Chee died June 1, in Tucson, Ariz. She was born May 22, 1993 in Gallup into the Bitter Water Clan of the Waters Edge Clan.

Chee completed the 8th grade at Tse Ho Tso Middle School in Ft. Defiance. She loved to be read to and she collected Disney animated movies. Chee loved to draw, color, and paint pictures.

Survivors include Jefferson and Gloria Chee of Fort Defiance; grandparents, Mildred Becenti of Kinlichee, Ariz., Joe and Mary Chee of Tse Yah Toh, NM.

Chee is preceded in death by Sam Becenti, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Junior Chee, Joe Chee, Jr., Jefferson Chee, Lorenzo Haley, and Neil Yazzie.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Grace Navajo Baptist Church.

Donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House in Tucson.

Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.


Dulce Jaure

GRANTS — Services for Dulce Jaure, 75, will be announced at a later date.

Jaure died June 6, in Grants. She was born July 19, 1931 in San Mateo, N.M..

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
