Joseph Curman, Sr.

TOHLAKAI — Funeral services for Joseph Curman, Sr., 94, will be at 1 p.m.. Tuesday, June 12 at the United Methodist Church in Gallup. Pastor Bill Overton will officiate. Burial will follow on family land in Tohlakai.

Curman, Sr. died June 7, in Gallup. He was born July 4, 1913 in Twin Lakes.

Curman, Sr. attended Tohatchi Boarding School and St. Michaels Catholic School. He worked in the construction trade and preached the gospel.

Survivors include his sons, Seth Curman and Joseph Curman, Jr.; daughters, Elsie Bailey, Joyce Brown, Ettajoe Curman, and Gloriaetta Lopez; sister Clara John.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Chee Dodge Elementary School.

John Yazzie

THOREAU — Funeral services for John W. Yazzie, 87, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12 at the Thoreau Church of God. Burial will follow at the Thoreau Community Cemetery.

Yazzie died June 8, in Grants. He was born July 15, 1919 in China Springs.

Yazzie was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his sons, Johnny Yazzie of Naschitti, Roger Yazzie of Thoreau, and Ervin Yazzie of Thoreau; daughters, Delcita Platero of Thoreau, Maxine Abeita of Thoreau, Helen Charley of Mariano Lake, Louise Platero of Thoreau, Christine Yazzie of Thoreau, and Randi Gamble of Tuscon; 47 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Yazzie was preceded in death by his wife, Etta M. Yazzie; father, John Watson; daughter, Sarah Tsosie; sisters, Sarah Tsosie and Rita Watson.

Clayton Benally

LITTLEWATER, NM — Services for Clayton R. Benally, 46, will be announced at a later date.

Benally died June 9, in Gallup. He was born Nov. 13, 1960 in Crownpoint into the Tangle People Clan for the Folded Arms People Clan.

Tristin Plummer

GALLUP — Services for Tristin Joshua Plummer, infant, will be announced at a later date.

Plummer died June 8, in Gallup. He was born March 12 in Gallup.

A viewing will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, June 14 at Rollie Mortuary.

GRANTS — Services for Erminio M. Ramirez, 71, will be announced at a later date.

Ramirez died June 9, in Grants. He was born April 12, 1936 in Marquez, NM.

Ruby Wood

GRANTS — Services for Ruby Wood, 90, will be announced at a later date.

Wood died June 10, in Grants. She was born Jan.18, 1917 in Royalton, Minn.
