GALLUP Funeral services for LaVaughn
Thomas, 78, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22 at Rollie Mortuary.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Thomas died June 16, 2007 in Gallup. She was born June 9, 1929
in Gallup.
LaVaughn assisted in founding Thomas Dist. and A.L. Wholesale.
She raised her children and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and quilting.Survivors
include her son, Kenny Thomas; daughter, Freeda Becker, Ginger
Sikes, and Beverly Wilson; brothers, Albert Adair and Lyle Adair;
sister, Jean Smith; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. Thomas; parents,
Ken and Ella Adair; brothers, Kenneth Stradling and Paul Adair.
Pallbearers will be Wes Monday, Jim Woods, Ty Wilson, Ken Thomas,
Cameron Brand, and Cody Cook.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallup Elks
Club, 1201 Susan Ave.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gallup Elks Club
Scholarship Fund.

WINDOW ROCK Funeral services for Katherine
Marie Ashley, 45, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22 at St. Michael's
Catholic Church. Fr. Gilbert Schneider, OFM, will officiate.
Ashley died June 16, 2007 in Albuquerque. She was born August
4, 1961 in Fort Defiance.
Ashley attended Ganado High School. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughters, Wendy Curley, Winifred Curley,
Alyssa Curley, Natalie K. Curley, and Kerri Lynn Wilson; mother,
Kathleen W. Ashley; brothers, Edison Ashley, Clifford Ashley,
Herman Ashley, and Bruce Ashley; sisters, Dorothy Ashley and Annita
Ashley.
Ashley was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Lee Curley;
father, DeSales Ashley.
Pallbearers will be Edison Ashley, Clifford Ashley, Herman Ashley,
Bruce Ashley, Leighton Ashley, and Norman Catron.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Larry Simpson
SEBOYETA, NM Services for Larry J. Simpson,
71, will be announced at a later date.
Simpson died June 19, 2007 in Seboyeta. He was born February 27,
1936 in Bevier, Missouri.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Johnny Lucero
GALLUP Funeral services for Johnny Lucero,
85, will be announced at a later date.
He died June 19, 2007 in Gallup. He was born November 1, 1921
in San Antonio, NM.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 24 at Rollie Mortuary.
