Waldo Nuez
GAMERCO Memorial services for Waldo Nuez,
80, will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 30 at the Prewitt Rodeo Grounds.
Pastor Bob Huber will officiate.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, June 30 at
Rollie Mortuary.
Nuez died June 26, 2007 in Gallup. He was born November 2, 1926
in Roswell, NM.
Nuez graduated from Roswell High School in 1945. He attended the
University of New Mexico majoring in business. Nuez was previously
employed with Navajo Shopping Center. He was known as "the
mayor" of Gamerco. Nuez enjoyed traveling to rodeo and sporting
events in support of his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Nuez; son, Joe Bob Nuez of
Corrales, NM; daughters, Marian Nuez and Beatrice Nuez of Gallup;
brothers, Fred Nuez of Las Cruces, Larry Nuez of Glenwood, NM,
and Andy Nuez of Hatch, NM; sisters, Patsy Sanchez of Carrizoza,
NM, Annie Jenks of Roswell, NM, Frances Nuez of Las Cruces, NM,
and Carolyn Wages of Loving, NM; six grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.
Nuez was preceded in death by his daughter, Bernice; parents,
R.C. and Lucinda Nuez; brothers, R.C. Nuez, Jr., Dan Nuez, and
Dody Nuez.
Pallbearers will be Gary Schuster, Dean Paul Cowdrey, J.C. Nuez,
Matthew Chavez, Justin Nuez, and Taylor Nuez.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Prewitt Rodeo
Grounds following the services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be for the restoration of
"Nunez Park" in Gamerco to Joe Bob Nuez, PO Box 19,
Gamerco, NM 87317.

Bernard Lee
COYOTE CANYON Funeral services for Bernard
Gene Lee, 51, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29 at Cope Memorial
Chapel. Norman Chee will officiate. Burial will follow at Coyote
Canyon.
Lee died June 24 in Coyote Canyon. He was born October 4, 1955
in Fort Defiance into the Meadow Clan for the Tower House Clan.
Lee attended Chuska Boarding School and Intermountain in Utah.
He was a lifetime rancher and was employed by various construction
jobs. Lee enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his brother, Eugene Lee, Sr. of Rock Springs;
sisters, Virginia McKinley of Coyote Canyon and Gloria Becenti
of Farmington.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Blossom James and Albert
Lee; and grandparents, Peter and Hannahbah Ruth James.
Pallbearers will be Miles James, Wilbert Barton, Virgil G. Jarvison,
Ty Begay, Larry Tom, Orlanzo Tom, and Raymond Tom.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Coyote Canyon
Chapter House following services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Benjamin Deschinny
TSEGISTO', Ariz. Funeral services for
Benjamin Deschinny, 55, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28 at
Desert View Funeral Home in Shiprock. Burial will follow at Tsegisto',
seven miles south of Dennehotso, Ariz.
Deschinny died June 24, 2007. He was born June 17, 1952 in Tsegisto'
into the Salt Clan for the Within his Cover Clan.
Survivors include his sons, Marvin and Melvin; daughters, Charlene
and Sherry; brother, Paul Whitesheep and eight grandchildren.
Deschinny was preceded in death by his parents, Begay Deschinny
and Lillian Whitesheep; brother, Daniel Deschinny; sisters, Julia
James and two older sisters.
A reception will follow at Grace Begay's residence.
Edward Tracy
GANADO Funeral services for Edward Tracy,
75, will be announced at a later date.
Tracy died June 26, 2007 in Ganado. He was born November 18, 1931
in Ganado into the Waters Edge Clan for the Start of the Red Streak
Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Anthony Dawes
MEXICAN SPRINGS Services for Anthony
Henry Dawes, 34, will be announced at a later date.
Dawes died June 26, 2007 in Mexican Springs. He was born February
2, 1973 in Gallup into the Ute Clan for the Red Running into the
Water Clan.
