Sarah Beyal

PINEDALE, N.M. — Funeral services for Sarah Holtsoi Beyal, 76, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Rollie Mortuary. Pastor Kee Keonie will officiate. Jonas High will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be on a family plot in Pinedale. A reception will take place at the Pinedale Chapter House after the burial.

Nelson Shorty was the main speaker at a gathering at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Pinedale Chapter House.

Beyal died Monday, March 5. She was born on Dec. 28, 1930 into the Grey Streak Ends People Clan and for the Two Who Came To The Water People Clan.

Beyal was well known for helping at squaw dances and other traditional ceremonies.

Beyal is survived by her children, Carol Holtsoi, Jones Holtsoi, Harry O. Holtsoi, Kenneth Murillo and Herbert Murillo, all of Pinedale; Sadie Holtsoi of Gallup; Gloria Holtsoi of Albuquerque; brothers, Billie Tom of Timber Ridge, N.M. and Charlie Billie of Pinedale.

Beyal was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Billy and Has bah Billy; daughters, Cecelia Murillo and Belinda Murillo; brother, John Billy; sister, Alta Lynch.

Pallbearers will be Leroy Beyal, Poncho Beyal, Herbert Murillo, T-Tom, Howard Harry and Herman Harry.

Paul Yazzie

BREAD SPRINGS, N.M. — Funeral services for Paul Yazzie, 41, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 9, at Rollie Mortuary. Pastor Joe Davis will officiate. Burial will be at City Cemetery in Gallup.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Rollie Mortuary.

Yazzie died Sunday, March 4, in Bread Springs. He was born May 5, 1965 in Gallup into the Salt Water People Clan and for the Salt People Clan.

Yazzie is survived by his mother, Mary H. Yazzie of Bread Springs; sisters, Marilyn Patterson of Rio Rancho, N.M. and Darlene Yazzie of Bread Springs.

Yazzie was preceded in death by his father, Sam C. Yazzie and his brother, Benson Yazzie.

Pallbearers will be James Livingston, Peter Coho, Peterson Coho, Fredrick Pino, Lee Y. Begay Jr. and Eli Coho.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Rynell Tayah

GALLUP — Funeral services for Rynell L. Tayah, 21, are pending.

Tayah died Tuesday, March 6, in Gallup. He was born on May 12, 1985 in Gallup into the Charcoal Streak People Clan and for the Red Running Into Water People Clan.

Ophelia Morris

NASCHITTI, N.M. — Funeral services for Ophelia C. Morris, 73, are pending.

Morris died Wednesday, March 7, in Naschitti. She was born Nov. 13, 1933 in Chinle, Ariz. into the Bead People Clan and for the Towering House People Clan.

Viewing will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Rollie Mortuary.

Adelina Marquez

GRANTS, N.M. — Funeral services for Adelina Marquez, 72, are pending.

Marquez died Tuesday, March 6, in Grants. She was born on August 1, 1934 in San Rafael, N.M.
