Marian Plummer

PHOENIX — Services for Marian Plummer, 65, will be at 9 a.m., Thursday, March 22 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in St. Michaels. Very Rev. Gilbert Schneider, OFM, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Michaels Community Cemetery.

Plummer died March 14 in Phoenix. She was born Oct. 13, 1941 in Fort Defiance into the Overhanging Rock People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Plummer attended Cathedral High School, Bryman School and spent 25 years working for the Navajo Tribe Records Dept., 15 years with the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, U.S. Airways Arena, Chase Ball Park, Arizona State Fair and worked with the Look Ahead Program and the Diabetes Support Study. Her hobbies included casino bingo, powwows, going to movies and dancing.

Survivors include her husband Tony B. Plummer; sons Myron B. Plummer, Milton M. Plummer; daughters Cecelia A. Singer, Valerie L. Plummer, Monica A. Plummer; brothers Tom Yazzie, Dennis Yazzie, Paul Yazzie, Benjamin Tohe; sisters Marie Yazzie, Mae John, Laura Tohe, Genevieve Todacheeny; seven granchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by Ben Yazzie, Julia Barton, Eugene Barton and Laura Tohe.

Pallbearers will be Myron Plummer, Milton Plummer, Donavan Lee, Kalvin Apalook, Henry Francisco Jr., and Brian Nez.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the St. Michaels Chapter House.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Clifton Singer

PHOENIX — Services for Clifton Ion Singer, 16, will be at 9 a.m. March 22, at the St. Michaels Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Gilbert Schneider, OFM will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Michaels Community Center.

Singer died March 14, in Phoenix. He was born July 15, 1990 in Phoenix into the Overhanging Rock People for the Folded Arms People Clan.

Singer attended Washington High School and was in the concert band and marching band. He was a pet lover. His hobbies included watching movies, playing computer games and spending time with friends.

Survivors include his parents Alfred Singer, Cecelia Singer; brother, Jordan Singer; sister, Natasha Plummer and his grandparents; Tony Plummer, Dan and Helen Singer.He was preceded in death by Marian Plummer

The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Michaels Chapter House in St. Michaels.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Vera Todacheene

TUBA CITY — Services for Vera Bergen Todacheene, 98, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday March 24, at the Church of Christ in Tuba City. Burial will follow at the Tuba City cemetery.

Todacheene died March 19, in Monument Valley, Ariz. She was born August 19, 1909 in Monument Valley, into the Red Running into Water People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

She was a LPN and was employed at the Prescott, Ariz., hospital. She enjoyed working with her herbal medicines and helped people that were ill.

Survivors include her sons Allen Bergen of Black Water, Ariz., Joe Bergen Jr of Wadsworth, Nev., Van Bergen of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters Joanne Esquibel of Tuba City, Verda Toldeo of Jemez Pueblo, NM., and Verna Charleston of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother Tom Ranger, Sr., of Coyote Canyon NM.; sister Mami Salt of Kayenta, Ariz.

Todacheene was preceded in death by her parents; Chris Jolly and Sammie Jolly; her two husbands Joe Bergen, Sr., and Rankin Todacheene; sisters Louise Smith; sons Jerry, Joseph, Oliver and Carl Bergen; daughter Josephine Bergen.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Duane Honahni, Edwin Charleston, Charles Charleston, Carl Bergen, Jr., Gary Toledo and Arlan Bergen.

The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Judes Catholic Church after services.


Tina Michelle

ALBUQUERQUE — Services for Tina Michelle, 45, were Tuesday, March 20, at French Mortuary Chapel, in Albuquerque.

Michelle died Friday, March 16, 2007. Her childhood was spent in Loveland Park, Ohio; her adult years were spent in Grants, Roswell and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was a cosmetologist for 11 years in Roswell, and was employed at Isleta Casino. She enjoyed reading, riding the bike, her animals, dancing and singing karaoke

Survivors include her daughters Shaundra Biehle of Roswell, and Summer Biehle of Albuquerque; her parents Jim and Karen Stansbery of Bluewater; siblings Loretta Moore (Mark) of Middletown, Ohio, Jim Stansbery, Jr. (Gaylene) of Midland, Texas, Leah Allen (Charlie) of Thoreau, , Joe Stansbery (Wendie) of Boise, Idaho; grandmother Millie Gooderham of Hillsboro, Ohio.
