Care supervisor, searches for a vein to draw blood from Brianna
Begay on Wednesday afternoon inside one of the two blood donation
buses parked at the Gal A Bowl bowling alley. Begay traveled from
Albuquerque to donate blood for her fourth time. The blood drive
honors Gallup resident Willie Knight, who is suffering from a rare
form of cancer. The blood drive continues today from 10 a.m. to
7 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at RMCH inside the third-floor

Golden arches: Michael Stechmesser, a technician with Commercial
Lighting and Electric of Albuquerque, works on installing lights
at the new McDonald's on East Highway 66 on Tuesday evening. Gallup's
new McDonald's on East Highway 66 is the first in the state to receive
the new design and look. If everything goes as planned, the new

Sleeping Tiger: Gallup Lady Tiger Patricia Billie catches
up on her sleep while Lady Tigers assistant coach Ryan Daw keeps
a watchful eye on the other Lady Tigers on Wednesday afternoon at
Ford Canyon Park. The girls were goofing around while waiting for
the Chooshgai Lady Broncos softball team to show up to the game.
