Pearl Bertinetti
GALLUP Funeral services for Pearl N.
Bertinetti, 93, will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 30 at the
First United Methodist Church. Pastor LayLoni Drake will officiate.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial.
Bertinetti died March 25 in Gallup. She was born Nov. 18, 1913
in Mt. Ida, Ark. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, John Bertinetti, Jr. of Gallup; daughters,
Betty Johnson, Patricia Doty both of Gallup; sister, Gladys Jordan
of Gallup; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five great-great
grandchildren.
Bertinetti was preceded in death by her husband, John Bertinetti
and sister, Edna Tecklenburg.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the United Methodist
Church.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Jeremy John
WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. Funeral services for
Jeremy Dave John, 35, will be at noon on Friday, March 30 at Cope
Memorial Chapel. Sister Terry Goodin will officiate. Burial will
be in the Gallup City Cemetery.
John died March 25 in Holbrook, Ariz. He was born July 12, 1971
in Gallup into the Meadow People Clan for the Bitter Water People
Clan.
John attended Window Rock Unified Schools, Tucson Unified Schools,
and Window Rock High School. He was employed with PCL in Tempe,
Ariz. and Oakland Construction in Phoenix. John's hobbies inlcuded
bullriding, cookouts, playing pool, horseback riding, biking,
movies and he was a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Survivors include his daughters, Jessica John, Jordan John; adopted
mother, Isabelle Begay; mother, Marie Jim; brothers, Adrian Jim,
Ronnie Spencer, Jason Padilla, Matthew Padilla, Larry Begay; sisters,
Melissa John, Carolina Valenzuela, Matilda Lizer; grandfather,
Freddie Jim.
John was preceded in death by his father, David John; maternal
grandmother, Helen Spencer Jim.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Jim, Matthew Padilla, Jason Padilla,
Ronnie Spencer, Leonard Jim, Sr. and Larry Begay.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the St. Michael's
Chapter House after services. Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge
of arrangements.
Thomas Johnson Sr.
ST. MICHAELS Funeral services for Thomas Johnson,
Sr., 69, will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 30 at St. Michaels
Catholic Church. Father Gilbert Schneider, OFM, will officiate.
Burial will be on a family plot in Navajo.
Johnson Sr. died March 25, in Tucson. He was born on Oct. 16,
1937 in Fort Defiance into the Deer People Clan for the Cliff
Dwelling People Clan.
Johnson Sr. attended Window Rock Elementary and graduated from
Haskell Indian School in 1956. He also attended Haskell Vocational
School. His employment included NFPI in Navajo and Chance Corporation
as a truck driver and WW Construction. He enjoyed silversmithing,
leather work, and was a bareback rider. His hobbies included fishing,
watching bullriding, boxing, and watching sports. He taught his
family how to drive diesel trucks.
His survivors include his wife Rose Mary Johnson of St. Michaels;
daughters Ralphalita Johnson Joe, Michaelle Johnson Yazzie and
Terrie Lynn Johnson; mother Sadie C. Johnson; 15 grandchildren
and six great grand children.
He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Johnson; grandparents
Sam and Mary Cleveland; son Thomas E. Johnson Jr., Bart Randal
Johnson and Sylvester Sanchez III.
Pallbearers wil be Ralph Johnson, Lemont Yazzie Sr., Homer Ashley
Jr., Wilfred Hubbard, Terrence B. Laughing, Abrham W. Teller.
The family wil receive relatives at St. Michaels Parish Hall.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Charlene Randolph
PINEHILL, NM Funeral services for Charlene
Ann Randolph, 27, will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 30 at Sand Mountain
Nazarene Church. Burial will be on family land in Cerro Alto,
N.M.
Randolph died March 27 in Albuquerque. She was born July 11, 1979
in Zuni into Two Comes To Water People Clan for the Red Streak
Running into Water People Clan.
Randolph graduated from Albuquerque Highland High School and Albuquerque
Technical Vocational Institute. Her employment included working
as an EMT at Pine Hill Health Center, nurse's aide at Albuquerque
Manor, home health aide at Kelly's Assisted Living and her hobbies
included fishing camping, traveling, riding horses, dancing and
taking care of children. She was also a silversmith.
Survivors include her husband Kevin Chatto of Pine Hill; daughters
Oszale Y. Martinez, Shannon Y. Martinez, both of Pine Hill, and
Kevina Maria Chatto of Flagstaff; mother Bessie C. Randolph; brothers
Patrick E. Lynnwood, Roland P. Begay, both of Ramah, Alex C. Begay,
Richard C. Begay, both of Pine Hill; sisters Pearl A. Alonzo and
Laura A. Randolph, both of Pine Hill; grandmother Nellie Henio
Coho of Pine Hill.
She was preceded in death by her father Lewis Randolph Jr; grandparents
Chavez P. Coho, Lewis Randolph Sr., Annabelle Lincoln.
Pallbearers will be Alex C. Begay, Anfernee Alonzo, Nate Henio,
Myron Salvador, Ward Hunter, Reid Yazzie.
A reception will be held at Sand Mountain Nazarene Church, six
miles east of Pine Hill following burial services.
