Alice Arnold
TOHATCHI Traditional services for Alice
Hood Arnold, 98, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Rehoboth
Christian Reformed Church. Pastor Bobby Boyd will officiate. Burial
will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Arnold died April 29, in Tohatchi. She was born September 28,
1908, in Spring Sted, NM into the Charcoal Streak PeopleClan for
the Towering House PeopleClan.
Arnold attended Rehoboth Christian Reformed School. Her employment
included a cook for Gallup McKinley County Schools, secretary
for Tohatchi Community Chapter, and Tohatchi Postal Service. Arnold
enjoyed bible studies, traveling, gardening, and fishing.
Survivors include her son, Paul Davis of Mexican springs; daughters,
Janice Cunningham of Kingman, Ariz. and Pat M. Morris of Tohatchi;
brother, Jack Hood; sisters, Velma Nakai, Ellanore Dawes, Helen
Jackson, Beatrice Hood, Joann Hood, and Phyllis Manuelito; nine
grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Arnold was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Arnold, Jr.;
and son, Albert Arnold III.
Pallbearers will be Arnold A. Morris, Jake Arviso, Marvin Arviso,
C.R. Davis, Jodie A. Bitsoi, and Raymond Hamilton.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Tohatchi Chapter
House.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Kathryn Richardson
PLYMOUTH, N.H. Services for Kathryn Richardson,
83, will be in mid August in Los Lunas.
Richardson died on March 11.
Richardson worked at the Gallup Indian Medical Center as a nurse
for many years. After retiring, she became active with the Ford
Canyon Senior Center. She enjoyed developing classes at the center
and helping with the advisory council. Richardson was an avid
line dancer and loved participating in competitions and costume
events.
Survivors include her son, Bruce Richardson of Chimayo, NM; and
daughter, Kathy Downing of Thornton, NH; and two grandchildren.
