Malfunction:
Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad employee Francy Tom lifts
the arm of a crossing gate Monday to allow traffic to drive
through at the intersection of Historic Rt 66 and Third Street
in downtown Gallup. The gates malfunctioned and left dozens
of motorists stuck, waiting to cross the intersection. BNSF
crews responded quickly to the problem and had the gates working
