Jim Charley
SMITH LAKE Funeral services for Jim Charley,
87, will be at 1 p.m. today, May 16, at Cope Memorial Chapel.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Visitation will be at Cope Memorial Chapel.
Charley died May 11 in Rehoboth. He was born November 15, 1920
in Mariano Lake.
Charley was a medicine man and a rancher. He loved to attend traditional
ceremonies to help people out.
Survivors include his sons, Lee Charley, Sr., Tony Charley, Leonard
Charley, and Larry Charley; daughters, Anna Nez, Bessie Mariano,
Louise Brown, Lorraine Charley, and Lucita Charley; 48 grandchildren,
31 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Tom, Garrett Lorretto, Laramie Charley,
Jeremy Charley, Leroy Charley, and Tony Charley.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Jim Charley's
residence in Smith Lake following services.
Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
Alice Daniels
SPRINGSTEAD, NM Funeral services for
Alice F. Daniels, 74, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at
Rollie Palm Chapel. Pastor Virgil Chee will officiate. Burial
will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Daniels died May 11 in Albuquerque. She was born June 7, 1932
in Rehoboth into the Mountain Cove Clan for the Zuni Clan.
Survivors include her daughters, Georgeen Daniels, Christine Hoskie,
Dorthey Yazzie, and Katleen Daniels; sisters, Mattie Francisco,
Lucy Becenti, and Roselyn Francisco; 10 grandchildren; and seven
great grandchildren.
Daniels was preceded in death by her husband, Freddy Y. Begay;
and parents, Rose Brown Francisco and Fred Francisco.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Jameson Yazzie
DILKON, Ariz., Services for Jameson Earl
Yazzie, 30, will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 17 at the New Life
Fellowhip Church in Castle Butte, Ariz. Pastor Henry Chase will
officiate. Burial will follow in the Dilkon Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Yazzie died May 9 in Mesa, Ariz. He was born Jan. 19, 1977 in
Winslow into the Tangle People Clan for the Edgewater People Clan.
Yazzie was a firefighter for Apache County.
Survivors include his parents Raymond Yazzie Sr., and Rose Ann
Yazzie; brothers Virgil Yazzie, Linford Yazzie, Jefferson Yazzie;
sisters, Raylene Yazzie, Raelencia Yazzie, Heralda Livingston;
grandparents Kee Yazzie, Sadie Yazzie, Keith Joe and Annie Joe.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond Yazzie Jr., and
Orlando Yazzie.
Pallbearers will be Sgt. Jefferson L. Yazzie, Evan D. Yazzie,
Aaron E. Yazzie, Russel Middleton, Pfc. Steven Young, Linford
Tino Yazzie and Dustin Middleton.
