Delaina Eskeets

GALLUP — Funeral services for Delaina “Dee” Eskeets, 29, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at Rollie Mortuary. Pastor Don Phoebus will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetary.

Eskeets died Nov. 3, 2007 in Gallup. She was born Feb. 25, 1978 in Fort Defiance into the Black Streak of Forest People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Eskeets attended elementary school at Aileen Roat, mid-school at Montezuma Christian School and later went to the Job Corps in Albuquerque. She was employed with Quality Home Care. Her hobbies included listening to music, walking and enjoying the scenery of Gallup and shopping, playing her guitar, playing bingo with family.

Survivors include her parents, Nora Lee, Dennison Eskeets, both of Gallup; brother, Shawn Tully of Gallup; sisters, Violet Lee, Latisha Lee, both of Gallup; grandparent, Bessie Eskeets of Churchrock.

Eskeets was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Betty Lee; sister, Norma Lee; brother, Dewayne Lee.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Ivan Dawes

MEXICAN SPRINGS — Graveside services for Ivan Eddie Dawes, 34, will be 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9 at the Lone Pine Cemetery in Mexican Springs. Evangelist Phillip will officiate. Burial will be in Lone Pine Cemetery.

Dawes died Oct. 2, 2007 in Prescott. He was born April 9, 1973 in Gallup into the Edge Water People Clan for the Red Running Into Water People Clan.

Dawes graduated from Tohatchi High School.
Survivors include parent, Bessie L. Dawes, Mexican Springs; brother, Mattew Allen of Mexican Springs; sisters, Beverly Long of Rock Spring, Carlotta Dawes of Mexican Springs.

Dawes was preceded in death by father, Naswood Dawes.

Pallbearers will be Francis Long, Henry Long, Peter Long.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Flora Montano

GRANTS — Funeral Mass for Flora S. Montano, 92, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at St. Vivian Catholic Church in Milan. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park. Very Rev. Alberto Avella will officiate.

Visitation will be 12-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at Compassion Mortuary. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at St. Vivian Catholic Church.

Montano died Nov. 6, 2007 in Grants. She was born Oct. 25, 1915 in San Mateo.

Survivors incllude daughters, Dora Jaramillo of Grants, Merlinda Salazar of Rio Rancho; sister, Fela Salazar of San Mateo; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Montano is preceded in death by her husband Flavio Montano; parents, Procopio and Lucia Sandoval, brothers, Manuel Sandoval, Procopio Sandoval, Aurelio Sandoval, Carlos Sandoval, Benjamin Sandoval, Sefredo Sandoval; sisters, Paubla Sandoval, Lucy Salazar; grandson, Adrian Lopez; great-grandson, Flavio Lopez; son-in-law, Joe Lopez.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Jaramillo, Joe Lopez, Debra Lopez, Brenda Garcia, Bryan Lopez, Ivan Marquez.


James Bailey

GALLUP — Services are pending for James K. Bailey, 73, of Gallup. Viewing will be 12 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at Rollie Mortuary.

Bailey died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007 in Manuelito. He was born Sept. 9, 1934 in Houston, Texas.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Nicholas Rougemont

GRANTS — Funeral Mass for Nicholas Joseph Rougemont, 17, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park. Very Rev. Alberto Avella will officiate.

Visitation will be on 12-5 p.m. today, Nov. 8 at

Compassion Mortuary. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today, Nov. 8 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Rougemont died Nov. 4, 2007 in Albuquerque. He was born Jan. 23, 1990 in Grants.

Rougemont was a senior at Grants High School at the time of his death.

Survivors include parents, Rena Williams of Grants, James Rougemont Sr. of Rio Rancho; stepmother Leonor Rougemont of Rio Rancho; brothers, James Rougemont Jr. of Grants, Laurence Rougemont of Rio Rancho, Zevastian Rougemont of Rio Rancho, Xorin Rougemont of Rio Rancho; sister, Alexia Rougemont of Grants; grandparents, Della Rougemont of Grants, Cleofes Rougemont Jr. of Grants, Ancil “Bud” Williams of Grants, Carolyn Williams of Grants.

Pallbearers will be James Rougemont Jr., L.J. Perea, Matthew Barron, Mike Judd, Jacob Chavez, Juan Lemos.
