Martha Malone
TOHLAKAI, N.M. Services for Martha Tommie Malone, 79,
will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Cope Memorial Chapel, Gallup.
Burial will be in Tohlakai. A rosary will be recited at Cope Memorial
Chapel 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28.
Malone died Nov. 24, 2007 in Tohlakai. She was born in Tohlakai
into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
She was a homemaker, rancher, silversmith, did beadwork, and
rug weaving. She enjoyed visiting relatives and friends.
Survivors include husband, Richard Malone of Tohlakai; sons,
Ray Jim of Tohlakai, Roscoe Mescale of LA., Vernon Malone of Las
Vegas, Nev., Marvin Malone, Arnold Malone, Alvin Malone, all of
Tohlakai; brother, William Tommie of Sundance, N.M.; sisters,
Ella Belone of Tohlakai, Ruth John of Twin Lakes, Louise Calabaza
of Jemez, Fannie Rizo of Crownpoint; 25 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Malone was preceded in death by parents, William and Lillian
Ross; son, Jerry Jim.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will meet at Twin Lakes Chapter, today, Nov. 27 at
6 p.m.
Marvin Small
LOS LUNAS Funeral services for Marvin Edwin Small, 84,
will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28 at The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-Day Saints, Thoreau. Viewing will be 10:30 a.m. before
services. Interment will be at Terrace Grove Cemetery, 1200 West
Aragon Road, Belen, at 3 p.m.
Small died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 in Albuquerque. He was born
in Burke, South Dakota.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He served during WWII in the Navy aboard LSTs in the Pacific Theatre.
Marvin worked for 30 years as an underground miner. He also worked
construction, drove trucks and rode in rodeos. He retired in 1977
and moved to Thoreau in 1978. There he served in LDS church callings
and he also served as a temple worker in the Albuquerque Temple.
Survivors include wife, Mary Ellen Small; sons, David J. Small,
Monty Brent Small, Michael Edwin Gammon, Edward Isaac Small; daughters,
Marva Sue Dillon, Barbara Ann Palmer, Terri Lynn Torres; sister,
Ila June Small Gold.
Small was preceded in death by sister, Gladys May Hoy; brothers,
Gerald Bryan Small, Leo Vincent Small; Marvin Jr.; Cynthia Marie
and first wife Norma Dean West Small.
Pallbearers will be Monty Small, David Small, Edward Small, Michael
Gammon, Matthew Torres, Michael Carriere, Arnold West, Larry Burbank.

Marshall Tome
RED VALLEY, Ariz. Funeral Services for Marshall Tome,
85, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28 at The Oasis, Farmington.
William Lee will officiate. Burial will be in Mitten Rock, N.M.
He was born July 16, 1922 in Red Valley, Ariz.
Tome received a B.S. from the University of Missouri, he was Sigma
Delta Chi Fraterity Executive Director, Navajo Nation Division
of Community Development executive director, Navajo Nation Office
of Operation, executive assistant, Navajo Nation office of the
Chairman, executive director, office of Navajo Economic opportunity,
director of communications, Arizona State University, General
Manager and editor of the Navajo Times Newspaper.
Survivors include son, Deswood Tome; daughter, Dana Tome; brothers,
Kenneth L. Benally, Harry Tome; three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Nataani Tome, David Tome, Matthew Tome, Jack
Tome, Jeffery Tome, Nelson Tome.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Red Valley Chapter
after services.

Willie Martinez
BREADSPRINGS Funeral Services for Willie Martinez, 63,
will be 10 a.m. today, Nov. 27 at Cope Memorial Chapel, Gallup.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Mission Cemetery.
Martinez died Nov. 22, 2007 in Rehoboth. He was born Sept. 7,
1944 in Pinehaven into the Red Running into Water People Clan
for the Black Streak People Clan.
Martinez attended Pine Haven Mission School, Albuquerque Indian
School. He worked for the Idaho Sugar Farm; Railroad: Southern
Union Pacific for 20 years. His hobbies included hunting, farming,
camping, telling jokes, cooking, and attending church.
Survivors include wife, Etta B. Martinez; sons, Wilbur Martinez,
Willard Martinez; daughter, Lorinda Martinez; brothers, Guy Martinez,
Jessie Martinez, Bennie Martinez; sister, Annie Martinez, all
of Pine Tree Road in Bread Springs.
Martinez was preceded in death by parents, Tom Martinez and Bah
Martinez; six brothers; one sister.
Pallbearers will be Wilbur Martinez, Willard Martinez, Robert
Begay, Rodney Bitsilly
The family will receive relatives and friends at Bread Springs
Chapter, Bread Springs after services.
Eddi Jo Jaramillo
GALLUP Services are pending for Eddi Jo Jaramillo, 32.
Jaramillo died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007 in Gallup. She was born
Feb. 20, 1975 in Gallup.
A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29 at the Sacred
Heart Cathedral.

Rudy Neal
GALLUP Services are pending for Rudy James Neal, infant.
