Sheriff investigates threats in San Rafael By Mike Marino GRANTS The Cibola County Sheriffs Department is investigating death threats and drug cases in the area. On September 25 we had a report from a third party of an assault and death threats being made by brothers Gary Pierce and David Pierce to Glen Ferguson in San Rafael, said Sgt. Steve Marquez of the Cibola County Sheriffs Department. The incident happened between 8 and 10 a.m. according to our reports. So far no one has been arrested, and the incident is undergoing further investigation, he said. There was a warrant arrest made on behalf of the Milan Police Department on Oct. 1 at 8:23 p.m. in San Fidel. The suspect, Greg Sanchez, was found to have in his possession crack cocaine on him at the time of the arrest. He was charged on the warrant and the added charge of possession of a controlled substance.
