Flora McClure
BELEN Funeral services for Flora Rose McClure, 87, will
be Oct. 6 at Fair View Cemetery in Salida, Colo.
McClure died Sept. 30, 2007 in Los Lunas. She was born in Buffalo
Creek, Colo.
She enjoyed traveling, golf, and bowling in Gallup where she
resided for many years. McClure attended Gallup Christian Church
and was active in Rebeccas and the Brotherhood of RR Trainmen
Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son, James A. McClure of Los Lunas; daughter,
Sally McClure Orr of Belen; sister, Shirley Egley of Pueblo, Colo.;
four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
McClure was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur McClure;
two brothers; three sisters.
Cheryl Zohnie
LAVEEN, Ariz. Funeral services for Cheryl Zohnie, 29,
will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5 at the Christian Reformed Church,
Red Valley, Ariz.
Interment will follow in the family cemetery in Cove, Ariz. Visitation
will be on Oct. 4, 2007 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Desert View Funeral
Home Chapel, Shiprock.
Zohnie died Sept. 30, 2007 in Phoenix. She was born Dec. 4, 1977
in Gallup.
Charlie Thompson
GREASEWOOD Funeral services are pending for Charlie C.
Thompson, 30, of Lower Greasewood, Arizona.
Thompson died Oct. 2, 2007. He was born June 6, 1977 in Gallup.
Kenton Hodges
GALLUP Funeral Mass for Kenton Hess Hodges, 51, will be
10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Gallup.
Father Michael Vigil will officiate. Burial will be in Section
#22 in McGaffey.
Visitation will be at Rollies from 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Oct.
4. A rosary will be recited at Sacred Heart Cathedral Oct. 4 at
7 p.m.
Hodges died Sept. 30, 2007 in Gallup. He was born Feb. 4, 1956
in Kansas City, Mo.
He graduated from Wellsville High School in 1974 and got his
B.A. from the University of Kansas in 1978. Hodges was employed
with Southwest Indian Foundation as director of the Gallup Cultural
Center since 1996. He served on the United States Senate Floor
for Bob Dole in the early 90s. He also ran for U.S. Congress
in the 5th Dist. of Kansas in 1992. He was on the Board of Directors
Gallup Chamber of Commerce in the early 90s and was recently elected
President for the Board of Directors for Gallup Catholic Schools.
He was a published writer and enjoyed spending time with his son
and friends.
Survivors include sons, Elijah Hodges; mother, Pat Hess Hodges.
Hodges was preceded in death by his father, Don H. Hodges; brother,
Todd Hodges.
Pallbearers will be Luke Macik, Mattew Blain, Russ Farrell, Jay
Mason, Herb Mosher and Gary Seaton.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Sacred Heart
Family Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little Sisters of
the Poor in Gallup.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
