ascension for the 2007 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

balloon, is inflated Saturday morning during the opening day of
the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Although Airabelle
did not take to the skies, hundreds of others balloons did take
advantage of the clear blue morning to float above the Duke City.

downtown park in Grants on Saturday. About 20 area skaters showed
up for Saturday's competition. BELOW: Justice Gobele and Paul Eversole
sit on the steps while Joey Saavedra lands a kickflip at the downtown
park in Grants on Saturday. Area skaters held a competition at park
that included a best trick contest and a game of SKATE, similar
to the game of horse in basketball. The competition, which organizers
hope to make a monthly happening, is the first of its kind since
