Harry Bia Sr.
MANY FARMS Services for Harry Don Bia Sr.,
57, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12 at the St. Anthony Catholic
Church, Many Farms. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery,
Chinle.
Bia Sr. died Oct. 7, 2007 in Many Farms. He was born Sept. 28,
1950 in Many Farms into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Salt
People Clan.
He attended Chinle Boarding School, his employment has been carpentry,
being a mechanic and silversmithing. He enjoyed spending time
with his children, grandchildren, brother and sisters.
Survivors include wife Rose Bia of Lukachukai; sons, Harry Bia
Jr. of Round Rock, Ariz., Michael Bia of Lukachukai, Donovan Bia
of Lukachukai; daughters, Harriette Keyonnie of Phoenix, Yolinda
Bia of Durango, Marguerita Bia of Lukachukai, Roselinda Bia of
Durango; father, Ralph Bia Sr. of Many Farms; brothers, Nelson
Bia of Shiprock, Joe Bia of Lukachukai, Harrison Bia, Ralph Bia
Jr., both of Many Farms; sisters, Sally Benally, Eleanor Bia,
Elsie Beal, all of Many Farms, Sadie Jumbo of Pecos, Texas, Elaine
Corbaci of Nev.; 13 grandchildren.
Bia was preceded in death by his daughter, Lavina J. Bia; mother,
Sarah Bia and his grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Nelson Bia, Joe Bia, Harrison Bia, Ralph
Bia Jr., Stanley Teller, Dewayne Redhouse.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Many Farms Chapter
House after services.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Sammy Bia
NAVAJO SPRINGS Funeral services for Sammy Bia, 53, will
be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12. Burial will be in Newlands Cemetery.
Bia died Oct. 7, 2007 in Holbrook. He was born Sept. 4, 1954
in Ganado into the Black Streak People Clan for the Bitter Water
People Clan.
He attended Ganado Elementary, Inter-Mountain High School. Bia
was a distant runner and a coach for youth basketball. He was
a LA Lakers, Dallas Cowboys, NY Yankees fan. He enjoyed watching
movies, being with his grandchildren. He was an artist, a rancher
and a hard worker.
Survivors include wife, Annabelie Bia; sons, Terry Bia, Nathan
Bia, Kendrick Bia, Lionel Bia; brothers, John Bia Jr., Francis
Bia, Leo Biah; sisters, Bonita James, Alberta Tsosie, Anita Bob,
Bernice Bia; 12 grandchildren.
Bia was preceded in death by parents, John Bia Sr., Blanche Bia;
brothers, Kee Bia, Peter Biah.
There will be family meetings at the family home, Navajo Springs,
Ariz. evenings at 5 p.m. (mst)

MILAN Services are pending for Daniel Alan Peaker, 47.
Peaker died Oct. 6, 2007 in Milan. He was born Aug. 30, 1960
in China Lake, Calif.
Adeline Melton
GALLUP Services are pending for Adeline Z. Melton, 90,
of Gallup. A Rosary will be at Rollie Palm Chapel on Sunday, Oct.
14 at 4 p.m.
Melton died Oct. 8, 2007 in Gallup. She was born Feb. 12, 1917
in Gallup.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southwest Indian
Foundation.

Jorene Bygel
GALLUP Services are pending for Jorene Bygel, 77, of Gallup.
Bygel died Oct. 9, 2007 in Gallup. She was born May 18, 1930
in Lubbock, Texas.

COOLIDGE, N.M. Services are pending for Andrew Newman,
76, of Coolidge.
Newman died Oct. 9, 2007 in Coolidge. He was born Sept. 29, 1931
in Rehoboth into the Zuni People Clan for the Black Streak of
Forest People Clan.
