Andrew Newman
COOLIDGE Funeral services for Andrew Newman Jr., 76, will
be 10 a.m. Oct. 13 at the Rollie Mortuary Chapel. Roland Kamps
will officiate. Burial will be in Family Cemetery in Coolidge.
Newman was born Sept. 29, 1931 in Rehoboth into the Zuni People
Clan for the Black Streak of Forest People Clan.
He graduated and was valedictorian at Rehoboth Mission School
in 1952, attended Calvin College, retired from Bureau of Indian
Affairs, was a physical scientist. He served in the U.S. Army
SP4. His hobbies included fishing, reading and history.
Survivors include daughters, Beverly A. Newman-Segura of Coolidge,
Dorinda L. Newman-Delena of Coolidge; stepmother, Esther G. Newman
of Coolidge, brothers, Alfred K. Newman Sr. of Kirtland, Arthur
Newman Sr. of Naschitti, Hank Newman of Thoreau; sisters, Christine
Henio of Thoreau, Bessie N. Spicer of Coolidge, Violet M. Nez
of Coolidge, Melvina Newman of Coolidge, Marjorie S. Newman of
Bluewater, Vivian Pacheco of Los Lunas, Miriam Newman of Coolidge,
Virginia Weller of Albuquerque, Hazel Newman of Coolidge.
Newman was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice M. Newman; sons,
Christopher J. Newman, Andy Newman III; mother, Winnie Tso-Newman;
father, Andy Newman Sr.; sister, Ruth N. Wright.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Henio, Paul Johnson, Tim Willie,
Sonny Terry, Hawk Segura, John Talamante.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Elim Haven Mission
at 2 p.m. in Coolidge.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Daryl Manuelito
TOHATCHI Funeral services for Daryl Manuelito, 18, will
be 11 a.m. Saturdayy, Oct. 13, 2007 at the Crownpoint Jesus Christ
of Latter-Day Saints Church. President DuWaine Boone will officiate,
President Howell will preside. Burial will be in Crownpoint Community
Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services in Crownpoint
LDS Church.
Manuelito died Oct. 10, 2007 in Tohatchi. He was born Nov. 9,
1988 in Gallup into the Red Bottom People Clan for the Towering
House People Clan.
He was a former student at Crownpoint High School, attended Gallup
Central and UNM-Gallup. His hobbies included listening to music,
creating music, playing basketball with family and friends and
spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include parents, Harold Manuelito Sr.; brothers, Jerold
Manuelito, Harold Manuelito Jr.; sisters, Jerolynn Manuelito-Bahe,
Caroletta Manuelito, Jill Manuelito; grandparents, Ceclia Arviso,
Caroline Roanhorse-Manuelito.
Manuelito was preceded in death by mother, Isadora C. Manuelito;
grandfathers, Frank Cleveland, Robert Manuelito Sr.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Jim, Ervin Smith, Randell David, Myron
Lee, Jeremy Jene, and Christopher Bahe.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Crownpoint Chapter
following burial.
Kelly Abeita
ALBUQUERQUE Burial Mass for Kelly A. Abeita, 24, will
be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in
Isleta, N.M. Father Hilarey Villaquette will officiate. Visitation
will be Saturday, before services at St. Augustine Catholic Church
from 1:30-2 p.m.
Abeita died Oct. 7, 2007.
She was a member of the Catholic Church, a student at the University
of Washington in Seattle and a member of the National Honors Society.
Survivors include parents, John and Ellen Abeita; sister, Brenda
Saupe of Bonny Lake, WA.; grandmother, Josephine Abeita.
