Diego Baca Jr.

GALLUP — Mass of Christian Burial for Diego “Anthony” Baca Jr., 56, will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Grants.  Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Visitation will begin on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007 at 6 p.m. at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Grants where a rosary will follow at 7 p.m.

Baca died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007.

Survivors include son, Daniel Baca of Grants; daughter, Tanya Baca of Gallup; sister, Diana Marez of San Rafael; brothers, Archie Baca of Gallup, Richard Baca of Grants and Larry Baca of San Rafael; seven grandchildren

He was preceded in death by parents, Diego and Margaret Baca; brothers, Sonny James, Freddy, Leroy and Frank Baca and grandson, Jude Sanchez.

Pallbearers will be Pat Marez, Jacob, Jesse, Aaron, and Alex Baca, Archie Baca Jr., Richard Baca Jr. and Rudy Gallegos.

Monique Barney

BLACK MESA — Services for Monique Nola Barney, 20, will be 10 a.m. Oct. 18 at St. Judes Catholic Church in Tuba City, Ariz. Father Mernard will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot, Inscription House, Ariz.

Barney died Oct. 13, 2007 in Black Mesa. She was born Dec. 9, 1986 in Tuba City into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Zuni People Clan.

Barney graduated from Shonto Prep. High School in 2002. She enjoyed computers.

Survivors include parents, Evans and Carrie Jean Barney; brothers, Kyren Kyle Barney, Brad Redshirt; sisters, Vanessa Barney-Austin, Belinda Lee Barney, Mellisa Lee Benally, Monica Luka Barney, Angelique Leigh Barney; grandparents, Sam Sr. and Carrie G. Yazzie, Late Barney and Theresa Barney.

Barney was preceded in death by Luke Barney, Brenda Lee Leonard, great-grandmother Jeanette Blake.

Chester Hubbard

GALLUP — Funeral services are pending for Chester “Chizh” Hubbard, 56.

Hubbard died Oct. 14, 2007 in Albuquerque. He was born Nov. 1, 1950 in Ganado.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
