Leslie Teller
ALBUQUERQUE Funeral services for Leslie W. Teller, 25
will be 1 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Lady of Fatima Catholic Church,
Chinle. Father Blaine will officiate. Burial will be in Del Muerto,
Ariz.
Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. prior to services at Lady of Fatima.
A rosary will be recited at Cope Memorial on Wednesday, Oct. 24
from 5-7 p.m.
Teller died Oct. 20, 2007 in Albuquerque. He was born Aug. 3,
1982 in Fort Defiance into the Bitter Watter People Clan for the
Water Flows Together People Clan.
He attended UNM- Gallup Branch and SIPI in Albuquerque. He was
working as shift manager at Block Buster in Albuquerque. His hobbies
included skate boarding, playing guitar, fishing, writing lyrics
and poetry, attending concerts, listening to music. He enjoyed
spending time with family, relatives and friends.
Survivors include parents, Wesley Teller and Francine Tapija;
brothers, Andre Wes Teller, Shane Wes Teller, Joshua Wes Teller,
Troy Teller; sisters, Shawna Teller, Nicole Teller, Bailey Teller,
Savannah Teller, Autumn Teller; grandparents, Marian Bahe, Irene
Teller.
Teller was preceded in death by grandfather, Wilson Teller.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Teller, Andre W. Teller, Shane W.
Teller, Joshua W. Teller, Curtis Bowie, Michael Bluitt.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Presbyterian
Church, Del Muerto.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Thomas Peterson
GALLUP Memorial Services for Thomas A. Peterson Jr., 61,
will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Nazarene, Gallup.
Rev. Thomas Crider will officiate.
Peterson was born March 10, 1946 in Muskegon, Mich.
He received his high school diploma in Madison, Wis. through
the U.S. Armed Forces. He was retired and a Vietnam Veteran.
Survivors include son, Thomas A. Peterson III; daughters, Sherrie
L. Patterson, Misty D. Smith; parent, Marie Lindsey; sisters,
Peggy Peterson, Charlene Peterson; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Peterson was preceded in death by father, Thomas A. Peterson
Sr.; wife, Judy A. Peterson; and one granddaughter.
The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following
service at Nazarene Church, 1801 W. Aztec, Gallup.

Douglas Williams
UPPER FRUITLAND Services for Douglas Harvey Williams,
70, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, Farmington. Father Ray Meilhman will officiate. Burial
will be in Memory Gardens of Farmington.
Williams died Oct. 19, 2007 in Albuquerque. He was born Jan.
11, 1937 in Ganado.
Survivors include wife, Donna Williams; son, Daryl Harvey Williams,
Duane Harvey Williams; daughter, Donell Williams Pioche; six grandchildren.
Williams was preceded in death by parents, George and Carrie
Williams.

Walter Shurley
WINSLOW Funeral services for Walter Raymond Shurley, 84,
will be 10 a.m. DST on Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Presbyterian Church,
Fort Defiance. Pastor Dean Baker will officiate. Burial will be
in Deer Springs, Ariz.
Shurley died Oct. 20, 2007 in Sun City West, Ariz. He was born
Oct. 15, 1924 in Deer Springs.
He received a bachelors degree from North State University,
Tahlequah, Okla. He received his masters in health education from
Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, Calif. He was a health educator,
Indian health service, Winslow, and worked 34 years with IHS.
Survivors include wife, Margaret Canyon Shurley; son, Darrell
Shurley; daughter, Laura Shurley-Olivas; brother, Bernard Shirley;
sister, Ann Shirley; three grandchildren.
Shurley was preceded in death by parents, Mary and Ned Shirley-Begay;
brothers, Sam Shirley, Johnny Shirley, Phillip Shirley, Harry
Shirley; sister, Annie Dodge Wauneka.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Shurley, Anthony Olivas, Norman Wauneka,
Skip Curley, Paul Canyon, Floyd Stevens.
The family will receive relatives and friends at The Presbyterian
Church in Fort Defiance, following services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinsons
Research.

Bertha Chatto
RAMAH Funeral services for Bertha Chatto, 70, will be
10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Ramah Navajo Church of the
Nazarene. Reverend John R. Nells will officiate.
Chatto died Oct. 20, 2007 in Pinehill, N.M. She was born Feb.
26, 1937 in Ramah into the Green Meadow People Clan for the Apache
People Clan.
She was a member of Ramah Nazarene Church.
Survivors include son, Randy Chatto; daughters, Barbara Chatto-Williams,
Verna Dooley; brothers, Gilbert Maria, Hoskie Chatto, Jack Chatto,
Mike Garcia; sisters, Grace Maria, Carol Maria, Louise Maria,
Tanya Benally; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Chatto was preceded in death by Mary Yazzie Pino, Bobby Maria,
Bennie Maria, Abram Maria, Eva Maria, Nancy Maria, Robert Pino
Sr., Kee Y. Maria, Zonnie Pino.
Pallbearers will be Andre Williams, Ricky Williams, Anthony Frazier,
Bryan Maria, Eric Maria, Doren Benally.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Ramah Church
of the Nazarene following services.

Eleanor Dawes
YAHTAHEY Services are pending for Eleanor H. Dawes, 87.
Dawes died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 in Gallup. She was born July
16, 1920 in Pinedale into the Charcoal Streak People Clan for
the Towering House People Clan.
