Vinson Willard

KLAGETOH— Funeral services for Vinson Paul Willard, 64, will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 15, at the Saint Anns Catholic Church, Klagetoh.

Willard died Sept. 9, 2007 in Greaswood, Ariz. He was born June 20, 1943 in Ganado into the Black Streak People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Survivors include sons David Willard of Espanola, Jackie Long of Flagstaff, Raymond Jones of Twin Lakes; daughter Lousie Victor of Coyote Canyon; sisters Katherine Grove of Camp Hill, Penn.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Willard was preceded in death by father, Steven Willard; mother, Marie Clark; brothers, Alfred Jones and Paul Jones.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Long, Melvin Brown, Henry Brown Jr., Harold Clark III, Delbert Bia and Ivan BrPown.

Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Mary Chavez

ALBUQUERQUE— Funeral services for Mary L. Chavez, 92, will be 10:30 a.m. Sept. 15, at the Temple Baptist Church, 1613 Arizona NE, Albuquerque.

Chavez died Sept. 11, 2007 in Albuquerque. She was born Oct. 4, 1914 in Winslow.

She owned her own beauty shop in Gallup. She also owned a restaurant and became president of the PTA, owned and managed apartments, worked as a waitress, ran a concession for her husband’s baseball club. She and her husband moved to Albuquerque in 1991. She belonged to the Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Bernie Chavez; daughter Elaine DeLand.

Chavez was preceded in death by parents, Guadalupe and Santa Cruz Leal; husband, Hudson Chavez.


Kevin Saunders

SMITH LAKE— Services are pending for Kevin Saunders, 29, of Smith Lake.

Saunders was died Sept. 13, 2007 in Crownpoint. He was born April 12, 2007 in Gallup.

A family meeting will be held on today at 5:30 p.m. at the Thoreau Chapter House.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.


Alice Wilson

OAKSPRINGS — Funeral services for Alice C. Wilson, 85, will be 10 a.m., Sept. 15, at the Window Rock United Methodist Church. Pastor Roger Tsosie will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Oaksprings.

Wilson died Sept. 11, 2007 in Fort Defiance. She was born Dec. 25, 1921 in Oaksprings into the Born of Black Sheep People Clan for the Big Water People Clan.

Her jobs included making dolls, beadwork, rancher, rug weaving, silversmith and farming. Her hobbies were horseback riding, rug weaving, sewing, cooking, and being in her cornfield. She was a member of United Methodist Church, and enjoyed going to revivals.

Survivors are sons, Kenneth Price of Wide Ruins, Ariz., Nelson Joe Wilson of Jones Ranch, N.M.; daughters, Rita Spean, Jacqueline Begay both of Oaksprings; brothers, Mucetel Chischilly, Tom Jim Chischilly, Jackie Chischilly, Joey Chischilly all of Oaksprings, Fred Etsitty of Lupton; sisters, Eunice Chischilly, Iris Curley, both of Oaksprings; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Wilson was preceded in death by father, Etsitty Chischilly; mother, Desbah Chischilly; sister, Dzani Chischilly; brothers, Valarie Chischilly and Bob F. Curley Sr.; husband, Joe Wilson.
Pallbearers will be Mucetel Chischilly, Jackie Chischilly, Anslem Bo Chischilly, Duane R. Chischilly, Ray Price, Kenneth Price.

The family will receive family and friends at Oaksprings Chapter House following services.


Richard Ginther

GALLUP — Funeral services for Richard D. Ginther, 60, will be at 10 a.m., Sept. 15, at the Joshua Generation. Dennis Gallegos will officiate.

Ginther died Sept. 10, 2007 in Gallup. He was born July 14, 1947 in Geneva, Ill.

He moved to New Mexico from Chicago in 1984, later moved to California and then back to New Mexico in 1996. He owned and operated Midas Auto Experts in Gallup and Farmington and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors are wife, Carolyn Ginther; sons, Richard Ginther Jr. of Deepwater, Miss., Daniel Juarez of Gallup; daughters, Shelly Ginther of Aztec, Faith Dalton of Farmington; brothers, Daniel Ginther of Geneva,Ill., Mike Ginther of Tulsa,; sisters, Sandra Peterman of Batavia, Ill., Judy Tucker of Tulsa; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ginther was preceded in death by father, Daniiel P. Ginther; mother, Faye Shirley Brown Ginther; brothers, Brian Ginther and Allen Ginther.

The family will recieve relatives and friends at Joshua Generation, following services.

Patricia Williams

MARIANO LAKE — Funeral services for Patricia Williams, 40, will be 10 a.m., Sept. 15, at Cope Memorial Chapel. Pastor Harry Largo will officiate. Burial will be in Rehoboth.

Williams died Sept. 8, 2007 in Gallup. She was born Nov. 23, 1966 in Gallup into the Deer Springs People Clan for the Tangle People Clan.
She attended the Mariano Lake school, Smith Lake Elementary and Thoreau High School. Her hobbies included telling jokes, sewing, puzzles and crosswords, house cleaning, spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her sons, Sonny Andy Baker, David Lopez Jr., Micheal Lopez, all of Mariano Lake; daughters, Meria Lopez, Betty Williams, Veronica Lopez, Latisha Lopez, all of Mariano Lake; parents, Katherine Delgarito, Ralph Delgarito, both of Thoreau,; adoptive parents, Sam and Bessie Mariano of Mariano Lake; brothers, Patrick Williams Sr., Larson Delgarito, both of Mariano Lake, Pat E. Williams Sr. of Manuelito, Farrol Delgarito, Pricilliano Delgarito, Nathan Delgarito, Tyler Ty Yazzie all of Thoreau; sisters, Wonda K. Delgarito of Thoreau, Vonda D. Chavez, Nina Valadez, Dayna Delgarito all of Fresno, Calf.; grandmother Bessie Begay of Iyanitito.

Williams was preceded in death by father, Peter Willie, grandfather, Hoskie Dick; grandparents, John and Julia Willie.

Pallbearers will be family members.

The family will receive family and friends at Mariano Lake Chapter, following services.

Sammie DuBoise

VANDERWAGEN— Services are pending for Sammie B. DuBoise, 64, of Vanderwagen.

DuBoise died Sept. 12, 2007 in Zuni. He was born April 20, 1943 in Chichiltah, N.M. into the Black Sheep People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
