Jada Valtierra
GALLUP Funeral services for Jada Lynn Daisy
Valtierra, 1, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at the St.
Francis Church of Gallup. Father Eduardo Lalo Espinosa
, OFM will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Viewing
will be at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24 at St. Francis. A rosary will
be recited at St. Francis Church, Monday Sept. 24 at 10 a.m.
Valtierra died Sept. 18, 2007 in Gallup. She was born Aug. 7,
2006 in Albuquerque.
She liked giving hugs and kisses; dancing; she loved going on
walks and getting shaved ice with her mom, brother and sister.
She loved attention, she loved to eat and she loved playing peek-a-boo.
Survivors include parents, Michelle Esquibel and Aaron Valtierra
both of Gallup;brothers, Sean Tafoya and Christian Valtierra,
both of Gallup; sisters, Cassandra Esquibel, Anjelique and Trishell
Valtierra, all of Gallup; maternal grandparents, Marty and Antoinette
Esquibel; paternal grandparents, Greg and Antoinette Valtierra;
aunts, Tina Esquibel, Jeanette Madrid, and Vanessa Escamilla all
of Gallup; uncles, Marty Esquibel Jr, Joseph Madrid, Josh Valtierra
all of Gallup, Greg Valtierra of Albuquerque.
Valtierra was preceded in death by great-grandma, Juanita Valtierra;
great-grandparents, Josephine and Jerry Marquez.
Pallbearers will be Marty Esquibel Jr., Anthony Esquibel, Joseph
Madrid, Vivek Patel.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Gallup Community
Center, 410 Battan Memorial Street, Gallup, following service.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Helen Leal
GALLUP Graveside services for Helen Mario Leal, 83, will
be at 2 p.m. on Sept. 24 at the Sunset Memorial Park. Very Reverend
Lawrence OKeefe will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset.
Leal died Aug. 29, 2007 in Gallup. She was born Dec. 10, 1923
in Leuven, Belgium.
Leal was preceded in death by husband Primo Leal.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Lewis Gorman
CHINLE Graveside services for Gorman, 70, will be at 10
a.m. at the Community Cemetery, Chinle.
Gorman died Sept. 20, 2007 in Scottddale. He was born May 16,
1937 in Ganado.
He enjoyed spending all of his life ranching.
Survivors include mother, Edith Chee of Totsoni, Chinle; sister,
Ethel R. Brown of Chinle.
Gorman was preceded in death my his father, Samuel W. Gorman;
sister, Clara Chee.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Ethel R. Browns
resident.
Tso Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Francis Greene
GALLUP Funeral mass for Francis Greene, 93, of Gallup
will be Monday, Sept. 24 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Burial will
follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Greene died Sept. 19, 2007 in Gallup. She was born Jan. 19, 1914
in Elephant Butte, New Mexico.
She was a seamstress and a cook for the schools and the priest.
Survivors include daughters, Dolores Greene, Jo Rita Silva both
of Gallup; sister, Socorro M. Greene of St. Michales; son, Arthur
W. Greene of Santa Fe, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Greene is preceded in death by parents, Lola Diaz and procopio
Garcia; husband, John B. Greene; sisters, Trinnie G. Galindo,
Emma G. Ryan; sons, James R. Greene, Ernest Greene, John Greene
Jr., and one grandson, Sammy E. Day IV.
Pallbearers will be Michael Greene, Shayne Greene, Rick Gonzales,
Tommy Galindo, Ralph Diaz, and Phil Mcadows.
