Born April 16, 1978, in Fort Defiance, into the Red Running into
the Water People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Joella Grace Donlan, 91.
Donlan died May 31, 2008, in Grants. She
was born June 20, 1916, in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Joey Greenstone
PINON Services for Joey Greenstone,
60, will be 10 a.m. June 4, in White Valley, Ariz. The Rev. Martin
Haven will officiate. Burial will in family plot, White Valley,
Pinon.
Greenstone died May 31, 2008, in Tuba
City. He was born Feb. 20, 1948, in Pinon, into the Tangle People
Clan for the Red Streak People Clan.
Greenstone attended Pinon Boarding School,
graduated from Holbrook High School in 1967, College in Albuquerque
and Dixie St. College in St. Gorge, Utah. He was a member of the
Navajo Nation Bar Association with DNA Legal services and Navajo
Hopi Legal Services.
Survivors include his sons, Darwin Ross
Greenstone of Chandler, Darrin Dale Greenstone of Flagstaff, Reynolds
Al Gorman of Chandler; mother, Gaye Shorthair of Pinon; brothers,
Norman Shorthair, Henery Shorthair, Ireland Shorthair, all of
Pinon; sisters, Dorothy Howard of Tonlani Lake, Ariz., Marjorie
Tsosie of Tuba City, Roselyn James, Roselie Luman, Erestine Gene,
Deanne Shorthair, Cynthnia Shorthair; five grandchildren.
Greenstone was preceded in death by his
grandparents; father, Juan Shorthair; son, Giles Graig Gorman.
Pallbearers will be Winston Howard, Lionel
Howard, Murdock James, Lamont Luman, Jeremy Howard, Donovan Maloney,
Truman Tsosie, Paul Tsosie Jr.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at Gaye Shorthair resident in Pinon, following services.
Farrell Moore
COYOTE CANYON - Funeral services for Farrell
Thomas Moore, 35, will be 10 a.m. June 4, at the Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints Church, Gallup. Bishop Lee Merrill will officiate.
Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.
Moore died May 24, 2008, in Phoenix. He
was born Dec. 4, 1972, in Gallup, into the Red House People Clan
for the Towering House People Clan.
Moore attended Aileen Roat and Juan De
Oñate Elementary Schools, Gallup Mid School, and graduated
from Gallup High School in 1991. He enjoyed rodeos and working
the rodeo scenes. Moore loved horses and cattle. His hobbies included
helping others, reading, history, rock music, cooking, sudoku,
talking to people, and building things out of wood. He was a carpenter
and rancher in the Phoenix and Fort McDowall areas.
Survivors include his son, Marlon Moore;
daughter, Ashley Kahila Moore; parents, Tommy Moore, Sarah Curley;
brother, Ryan J. Moore, Marcus K. Moore; sister, Deinah Stewart;
grandparents, Fannie Reeder, Martina H. Curley.
Moore was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers,
Glenasbah Granny Howard, Mariam McCray; great-grandfather,
Jake McCray Sr.
Pallbearers will be Marcus K. Moore, Ryan
J. Moore, Kevin Stewart.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at Tsayatoh Chapter House, Mentmore, following services.

Richard Tom Purdom
EUDORA, Kan. Services for Richard
Thomas Purdom, 61, will be 11:30 a.m. June 7, at the Warren-Mcelwain
Mortuary, 1003 John L. Williams Driv, Eudora Kansas, 66025.
Purdom died May 29, 2008, in Kansas. He
was born May 4, 1947.
Purdom was a writer for local newspapers
in Grants (Gallup Independent). He retired and moved to Kansas
back in 2005. He worked with other newspapers in the United States
were many of his stories went national. In Desert Storm, he met
president George Bush and presented him with a medal that was
especially made for the president and his staff for their efforts
in the war. Known by his friends, he was called by his middle
name, Tom, which he preferred. Purdom also served behind the scenes
in Vietnam, fighting off of boats going up the rivers to keep
the rivers clear for supplies. He loved to get to the truth in
reporting and wanted the public to know the good in people and
also the bad. Purdom loved hunting or fishing with his brother
or friends outdoors. His hobbies included gun smithing and writing.
He was a loving man and reached out to a lot of people. At least
once a week he would take a drive to see what kind of animals
he could see because he loved the wild life in New Mexico. He
will be missed by people who enjoyed his newspaper writing and
by his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Alesha
Purdom; sister, Margie Miller; brothers, Mike Purdom, Duffy Purdom.

Frank Thompson
BREAD SPRINGS Services are pending
for Frank T. Thompson, 87.
Thompson died June 2, 2008, in Bread Springs.
He was born Sept. 4, 1920, in Crystal.
Thompson was a U.S. Marine Code Talker.
A family gathering will be 6 p.m. tonight,
June 3, at the Crystal Chapter.
