Poker Run

THOREAU — Benefit Poker Run will be June 14. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and line up at 11 a.m. Registration fee is $20 biker and $5 passenger. Arts Crawl

GALLUP — A number of art show receptions will be Saturday. The New Mexico Cancer Center, 2240 College Dr., will host a reception from 4-7 p.m. for its newest exhibit. Downtown Gallup will host receptions from 7-9 p.m. Receptions are usually held along Coal Avenue at the Coffee House, Crashing Thunder Gallery, The Frame Shop, House of Lyndon, Make Shift Gallery, Michael’s Studio 205, and Yazzie’s Indian Art. The Open Studio, located in the alley behind El Morro Theatre, and Native Hands Co-op, 506 W. Highway 66, are also participants.

Summer Festivals

GALLUP — Lion’s Club/Children’s Library, Summer Festival will be June 14. Activities all day. Parade at 10 a.m., Carnival, 12-6 p.m. and Nightly dances, 6 p.m., located in the downtown Courtyard Square. Face painting; petting zoo; junior King and Queen contest; free game booths; dunk tank and more.

Association Meeting

GALLUP — June 14, Navajo Code Talkers Association meeting at 9 a.m. at the Southwest Indian Foundation Museum, above the Amtrak Train Station, downtown Gallup. All Code Talkers, Widows of Code Talkers and Descendants encouraged to attend. Info call Yvonne Murphy at 928-688-4871.
