Theresa Bowman
GALLUP Services for Theresa A. Bowman,
95, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 14, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral,
Gallup. The Very Rev. Lawrence J. OKeefe will officiate.
Burial will be in Tohatchi Community Cemetery. A rosary will be
recited 5 p.m. today, June 13, at Rollie Mortuary.
Bowman died June 10, 2008, in Gallup. She was
born June 5, 1913, in Gallup, into the Honey Combed Rock People
Clan for the Zuni People Clan.
Bowman received an award for her rug at the
NM State Fair. She was a rug weaver, rancher, sheep herder, and
seamstress.
Survivors include her son, Francis Bowman of
Gallup; daughters, Angie N. Acoya of Albuquerque; Alta A. Bowman,
Darlene Stewart, both of Gallup; brother, Benjamin Arviso of Albuquerque;
sisters, Florence Damon of St. Michaels, Anita Arviso of Goodyear,
Ariz., Martha Barney of Tohatchi; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Bowman was preceded in death by her husband,
Bahe J. Bowman; son, Andrew Bowman; parents, Charley J. and Bah
Arviso; brothers, Juan, George, Kenneth, Joe, John Arivso; sister,
Katherine Shortey.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Jeremiah Davis
TSAILE Funeral services for Jeremiah
Davis, 26, were 9 a.m., today, June 13, at the Tsaile Community
Church. The Rev. Everette Teller officiated. Burial was in Community
Cemetery, Lukachukai.
Davis died June 9, 2008, in Crystal. He was
born Jan. 24, 1982, in Fort Defiance, into the Red Bottom People
Clan for the Coyote Pass People Clan.
Davis attended Rough Rock High School up to
the 10th grade. He worked as a rod buster and an apprentice labor
for APS of Farmington. His favorite activity was going into a
rodeo as a bullrider. He was a member of the rodeo association
and won trophies and a buckle. His favorite hobby was also hanging
out with his family especially his brothers.
Survivors included his wife, Wanda Johnson;
son, Ayden Davis; daughter, Mya Davis; parents, Dwight Davis and
Louise Davis; brother, Terrell Davis; grandmother, Clara S. White.
Davis was preceded in death by his grandparents,
Wilson White, Nada Davis Sr., Mary B. Davis.
Pallbearers were Dwight Davis, Irvin Davis, Darren Davis, Gilbert
Davis, Darryl Bahe, Lambert Sandoval Jr.
The family received relatives and friends at
Rose Davis residence, 1/4 Mile South of Tsaile Creek.
Tse Bonito Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Lorene Kee
KLAGETOH Funeral service for Lorene C.
Kee, 87, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 14, at the Klagetoh Shelter
Mission. The Rev. Ron Woodman will officiate. Burial will be in
Klagetoh Community Cemetery.
Kee died June 10, 2008, in Fort Defiance. She
was born Dec. 02, 1920, in Leaning Pine, Ariz., into the Honey
Combed Rock People Clan for the Waters Edge People Clan.
Kee was a mother and wife, a homemaker, rug
weaver, cared for livestock, liked to read Navajo bible and listen
to the Navajo Christian radio station.
Survivors include her husband, Charley Kee;
sons, Joseph Curley, Ernest Kee; daughters, Nora Chief, Effie
Shirley, Letha Mull, Dorothy Chischilly, Rosita Kee,, Katherine
K. White, Susanne Enos; sisters, Bessie RedSteer, Angie Benally;
32 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Kee was preceded in death by her parents, George
and Glethhanaasbaa Curley; brothers, Isaac, Thomas, David,
Mark Curley; son, Benjamin Curley; one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Archie Mull, Sammi Chief,
Warren Shirley, Derek Chischilly, Gary Curley, and Jacob Curley.
The family will receive relatives and friends
at noon at the Klagetoh Chapter House, following services.

Lydell Tsosie
LOW MOUNTAIN Funeral services for Lydell
Monty Tsosie, 21, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 14, at the Smoke
Signal Nazarene, Ariz. Ned Begay will officiate. Burial will be
in family plot, 3 miles east of Low Mountain.
Tsosie died June 11, 2008, in Low Mountain.
he was born Sept. 8, 1986, in Phoenix, into the Charcoal Streak
Division of the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the
Red Bottom People Clan.
Tsosie attended Piñon High School. He
was employed as a carpenter and boiler maker. His hobbies included
skateboarding, BMXing, hunting, drawing, reading and playing guitar.
Survivors include his parents, Leonard and Rose
Marie Tsosie; brothers, Lytle Rodman Tsosie, Lyman Rodney Tsosie;
sisters, Kaylene Tsosie, Nina Marie Tsosie, Yolanda Tsosie; grandmother,
Irene Nelson.
Tsosie was preceded in death by his brother,
Leonard Lyle Tsosie; grandfather, Kee T. Nelson; great-grandmother,
Asn Nez Begay; great-grandfather, Tsosie Begay.
Pallbearers will be Leander LaPahe, Alonzo Tsosie,
Lytle Tsosie, and other family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Irene Nelsons
residence, following services.
