Bitonie died Sunday, July 6, 2008, in Gallup.
He was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Manuelito, into the Black Streak
of Forest People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Glenda Crane
GALLUP Memorial services for Glenda Darlene
Crane, 62, will be 1 p.m., July 13, at the Church of the Nazarene,
1801 W. Aztec, Gallup. The Rev. Tom Crider will officiate.
Crane died July 2, 2008, in Gallup. She was
born March 1, 1946, in Seattle, Wash.
Survivors include his daughter, Julie Stewart
of Kent, Wash.; brothers, David Easley of Seattle, Wash., Bobby
Easley of Okla.; sisters, Kathy Easley of Seattle, Wash., Sherrie
Standifer of Rifle, Colo.; three grandchildren.
Crane was preceded in death by her parents,
Robert and Marjorie Easley; brothers, Danny and Michael Easley;
sister, Delores Easley.

Ferlin Hoskie
GALLUP Services are pending for Ferlin
Hoskie, 41.
Hoskie died Friday, July 4, 2008, in Gallup.
He was born Nov. 5, 1966, in Fort Defiance, into the Red Running
Into the Water People Clan for the Red Bottom People Clan.

Junior Sam
RED ROCK Services for Junior Lee Sam,
53, were 10 a.m., July 8, at the Church of God, Red Rock. Sister
Terry Goodin officiated. Burial was in Gallup City Cemetery.
Sam died July 2, 2008, in Manuelito. He was
born March 15, 1955, in Manuelito Canyon, into the Mexican People
Clan for the Sleeping Rock People Clan.
Sam attended a variety of schools because his
family moved around as farm workers. He attended Thoreau BIA,
Wingate BIA, and Gallup Public school. Later he went to Oklahoma
to attend Trade School as a mechanic. Sam loved repairing and
restoring old classic cars. He starting working with CDK in the
early 70s. He started off as a labor worker, promoted to
electrical helper, then into journeymen electrician and finally
electrical foreman. Sam was a very dependable, dedicated worker.
He traveled to different states and worked for CDK Electrical,
CCC Electrical, Bel Mont Electrical, BEK Electrical, and Saulsbury
Electrical in 2008. He made many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Sam of Red
Rock; sons, Jarvis Sam, Jordan Sam, both of Red Rock, Cassey Sam
of Gallup; daughters, Kasey Sam, Travis Sam, both of Red Rock,
Letha Young of El Paso; brothers, Tully Sam Sr. of Crownpoint,
Johnson Sr. of Gallup, Samuel Sam of Window Rock; sister, Ida
John of Manuelito; three grandchildren.
Sam was preceded in death by his father, Jim
Sam; mother, Margrate Sam; grandfather, Chee Nelwood; grandmother,
Clara Nelwood; brother, Jim Sam Jr.
Pallbearers were Jordan Sam, Gabriel Billie,
Bryan Sam, Travis Sam, Johnson Sam and Delbert John.

Ernest Teller Jr.
IYANBITO Funeral services for Ernest
Teller Jr., 30, will be 10 a.m. July 9, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup.
The Rev. Francis Shirley, will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup
City Cemetery.
Teller died July 4, 2008, in Iyanbito. He was
born Feb. 5, 1978, in Gallup, into the Water Edge People Clan
for the Black Streak Wood People Clan.
Teller attended Churchrock Elementary, Fort
Wingate Mid School, Fort Wingate High School, and the UNM-Gallup.
He was employed with Jiffy Lube. His hobbies included sending
time with family and friends, drawing, fishing, playing video
games, joking with grandmas and mechanical work.
Survivors include his wife, Starletta Fred;
daughter, Christina Thompson; mother, Elaine Upshaw; brother,
McKyer R. Upshaw; sisters, Elena Francisco, Gloria S. Teller,
Tina M. Teller, Judith L. Teller; grandparents, Herbert and Julia
Upshaw.
Teller was preceded in death by Ernest Teller
Sr., Charlie Teller Sr., Mary Norton Teller, Charlie Marianito
Sr., Laverne Marianito, Louise Neswood.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Billsie, Eric M. Jameson, Charlie Marianito
Jr., Leo Neswood, Darren Washburn, and Sean Bailey.
The family will receive relatives and friends
at Iyanbito Chapter House, Following services.

Lula Toadlena
CHINLE Gravesite services for Lula Toadlena,
101, will be 10 a.m., July 9, at the gravesite. Roadman Leo Toadlena
will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot.
Toadlena died July 6, 2008, in Chinle. She was
born March 12, 1907, in Kayenta, into the Salt People Clan for
the Big Water People Clan.
Toadlena was a homemaker, rug weaver, rancher,
and liked being with family, grandchildren, socializing with family
and friends at social gatherings. She loved to cook traditional
food.
Survivors include her son, Kee Toadlena of Chinle;
brother, Edward Clitso of Kayenta; sister, Alma White of Kayenta;
63 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 36 great-great-grandchildren.
Toadlena was preceded in death by her husband,
Jack Toadlena; daughters Betty, Lillie; mother, Hattie; brother,
Joe Clistso; sisters, Hazel, Florence, Dora, Faye, Frances.
Pallbearers will be family members.
