weaves a variety of items, including clothing, and sells it at her
home based business, Guatemalan Handi Crafts. The home is located

Arts Crawl
GALLUP A number
of art show receptions will be Saturday. Downtown Gallup will
host receptions from 7-9 p.m. Receptions are usually held along
West Coal Avenue at the Coffee House, Crashing Thunder Gallery,
The Frame Shop, House of Lyndon, Make Shift Gallery, Michaels
Studio 205, and Yazzies Indian Art. The Open Studio, located
in the alley behind El Morro Theatre, and Native Hands Co-op,
506 W. Highway 66, are also participants.
Gathering
COLORADO The 14th
annual Chimney Rock Native American Cultural Gathering will be
July 12-13 at the Chimney Rock Archaeological Area near Pagosa
Springs, Colo. Traditional Jicarilla Apache dancers, four different
Hopi dance groups and other singers and dancers from Acoma Pueblo
and Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo. An Aztec group will be participating.
Include an Indian Art Market and food booths. $10 Admission. Begins
11 a.m.-4 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket. Info call 970-731-4248.
