Veterans Meeting

CHURCHROCK — Churchrock Veterans Organization meeting will be 1:30 p.m., July 20, at the Churchrock Chapter. All veterans encouraged to attend. Pot-luck, please bring a dish. Budget on the agenda.

Public forums

Kirtland — The Central Consolidated School District Public Forum will be 6-8 p.m., July 18, at the Kirtland Board Room, to obtain additional input for use in the selection of a new superintendent. Parents, students, community members,staff encouraged to participate.

Checkpoints

New Mexico State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on July 18, within the San Juan County. This checkpoint, as all checkpoints, is designed to apprehend drunk drivers and make the highways safer for the motoring public.

Reunion

WHEATFIELD LAKE — Intermountain School reunion will be July 18-20, at Wheatfield Lake, Ariz. (Westside of Route 12) 35 miles north of Window Rock. Speakers, Entertainment, games, BBQ, and lunch will be provided Saturday only. Don’t forget to bring chair and bring one item such as, cap, tee-shirt, cup, pens/pencils, etc. that pertain to you job. Part of door prize giveaway. Camping is available free. Alcohol, drugs are not permitted at the reunion. More info call 505-726-9134.

Fire and Ice

CASA BLANCA — Dancing Eagle Casino Fire and Ice Custom Car and Bike Show will be July 20. Casino is seeking participants to enter their customs cars and motorcycles.
