GALLUP — Services are pending for Emilio “Mundo” Robles, 74.

Robles died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, in Gallup. He was born Aug. 5, 1934, in Mentmore.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Smiley, Lilley

CROWNPOINT — Funeral services for Lilley Smiley, 70, will be Monday, Aug. 11, at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, Crownpoint. The Rev. Carlos Baki will be the celebrant.

Smiley died Aug. 6, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born Oct. 13, 1937, in Crownpoint, into the Water Flows Together People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Smiley was retired from Gallup McKinley County Schools.

Survivors include her daughter, Doreen Baki of Crownpoint; brother, Raymond Charleston of Shiprock; sister, Lucia Craig of Crownpoint; 33 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Smiley was preceded in death by her husband, Chee Yazzie; parents, Paul Smiley, Elizabeth Gray; son, Warren Smiley; brothers, Levi Smiley, Joe Lee Smiley; sister, Mattie Pino.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Thompson, Kevin Thompson, Alexis Ellsworth, Lydon Ellsworth, Olin Willie, Rex Mendoza.

Wayne, Clarence

TSE BONITO — Funeral services for Clarence Wayne, 82, will be 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 11, at the St. Michaels Mission, St. Michaels. The Rev. Gilbert Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot, Tse Bonito. Visitation will be 9 a.m., one hour prior to services.

Wayne died Aug. 2, 2008, in Fort Defiance. He was born Oct. 15, 1925, in Tse Bonito, into the One Who Walks Around People Clan for the Salt People Clan.

Wayne went to school up to the 4th grade. He spent most of his childhood tending cattle. He also worked for the Navajo Tribe as a carpenter and concrete finisher for about 35 years, then continued as a leather crafter. Wayne enjoyed riding horses, tending cattle, going to basketball and volleyball games. He liked to watch western movies and reading Western Horseman magazines.

Survivors include his son, Eddy Wayne of Japan; daughters, Carol Ann Wayne of Albuquerque, Lisa Vera Wayne of Fort Worth, Texas.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Frank Wayne; mother, Asanlbahi; sisters, Emma Yazzie, Marie Brown, Antoinette Clarke; brothers, Austin Wayne, Joe Slim, Stewart Wayne.

Pallbearers will be Lanbert Perry, James Freeland, Duane Clarke, Delbert Bia, Henry Brown.

The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Michael Chapter House, following services.
