School Board Mtg.

GRANTS/CIBOLA — G/CC School board regular meeting will be 5:30 p.m., Aug. 19,at the GCCS Boardroom. Agenda available in superintendent’s office. More info call 285-2603.

School Board Mtg.

KIRTLAND — Central Consolidated District Board of Education regular board meeting will be 7 p.m., Aug. 19, at the Kirtland Board Room. Agenda includes, Budget Adjustment requests, payment of bills, and various reports. Meeting can be viewed by public via video at Shiprock Board Room, Naschitti Elementary, Newcomb Elementary.

Food for Kids

GALLUP — ECHO CSFP Free Food for Kids and Seniors Food Distributions will be in Gallup, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Aug. 19, at the MidWest NM CAA/Gallup CC. If you miss a CSFP distribution, pick up at ECHO Warehouse, 401 S. Commercial, Farmington, open 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. weekdays, closed 12-1 p.m., for lunch. The only program exclusion is WIC for moms or children. In some locations, ECHO will also have food on the trucks to help individuals and families who have a short-term emergency need (with proper ID and household information).

Seniors Needed

GALLUP — Companions are volunteers who provide assistance and friendship to other individuals who have difficulty with daily tasks. Earn a modest stipend, reimbursement for meals and mileage. Call 505-722-3565 or stop by 104 1/2 East Aztec for info.
