Eleanor Begay
WINDOW ROCK Memorial services for
Eleanor Bryan Begay, 91, will be 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 12, at
the Silver Creek Mortuary Chapel, Tse Bonito. The Rev. Franciscan
Maynard Shurley will officiate.
Begay died Sept. 9, 2008, in Gallup. She
was born April 22, 1917, in Fort Defiance, into the One Who Walks
Around One People Clan for the Zia People Clan.
Survivors include her son, Harvey A. Begay;
daughters, Shirley Etsitty, Rosalind Zah, Sylvia B. Radcliffe,
Janice Taliwood, Eleanor K. Rogers; brother, David Bryan Sr.;
16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-
grandchildren.
Begay was preceded in death by her husband,
Kenneth Begay; daugher, Karen Begay; sister, Louise Minthorne;
brother, Paul Bryan; one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Atcitty, Keeyonnie
Zah, Beatien Taliwood, Toby Radcliffe, Larry Etsitty Jr., Kyle
Begay, Christopher Etcitty.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of
arrangements.
Vernon Begay
WINDOW ROCK Funeral services for
Vernon Amos Begay, 36, will be 10 a.m, Sept. 12, 2008, at the
Good Shephard Mission. The Rev. Richard Stevens will officiate.
Burial will be in Crystal, N.M.
Begay died Sept. 8, 2008, in Fort Defiance.
He was born March 16, 1972, in Fort Defiance, into the Folded
Arms People Clan for the Red Bottom People Clan.
Begay received his high school diploma
from Navajo Pine High School in 1990 and attended Crownpoint Institute
of Technology. He was employed with the Navajo Nation Law Enforcement
as a senior maintenance. His hobbies included horse back riding,
carpentry, auto mechanics, and enjoyed taking part in traditional
ceremonies.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline
Begay; son, Austin V. Begay; daughter, Cheyenne Yazzie; father,
Amos Paul Begay, mother, Betty Curley Begay; sisters, Catherine
Begay, Frances Begay.
Begay was preceded in death by his sisters, Theodora Begay, Rosalie
Begay; grandparents, Aaron and Sarah Curley,Chischilly T. and
Mary T. Begay.
Pallbearers will be Cordell Curleyhair,
Matthew Curleyhair, Michael Watson, Emerson Begay, Michael Sage,
Deranci Poyer.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at Fort Defiance Chapter House, following services.

Yilhabah Brown
BLANDING, UT. Funeral services
for Yilhabah T. Brown, 84, will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 12,
at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Chinle. Burial will be
at the family cemetery in Chinle.
Brown died Monday, September 8, 2008, at Monticello, Utah. She
was born May 20, 1924, in Chinle.

Harrison Daniel
COYOTE CANYON Services for Harrison
Daniel, 72, will be 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 12, at the United Pentecostal
Church, Tohatchi. The Rev. Jerry Eastridge will officiate. Burial
will be in Tohatchi Community Cemetery.
Daniel died Sept. 8, 2008, in Gallup.
He was born April 6, 1936, in Coyote Canyon, into the Bitter Water
People Clan for the Red Streak People Clan.
Daniel was retired from the Gallup McKinley
County Schools as a bus driver/custodian.
Survivors include his children, Loretta
Clinton of Killeen, Texas, Steve Danile of Gallup, Art Daniel
of El Paso, Texas, Ronald Daniel of Bread Springs; brothers, Leonard
Daniel of Tuba City, Donald Daniel of Gallup; sisters, Rose Mary
Wood of Coyote Canyon, Gladys Wood of Coyote Canyon; 15 grandchildren.
Daniel was preceded in death by his wife,
Marie Daniels; parents, Clyde Daniel, Christine Becenti Daniels;
brothers, Russell Daniel, Herman Daniel.
Pallbearers will be Fritzgerald Clinton, Aaron Wood, Roger Mace,
David Wood, Gerald Wood, Harold Wood.

CHINLE Funeral services for Kee
Gorman, 74, will be 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 12, at the Lady of Fatima
Church. Father Blain will officiate. Burial will be in Chinle.
Visitation will be 12 p.m., Sept. 12, at Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Gorman died Sept. 9, 2008, in Chinle.
He was born June 12, 1934, in Chinle, into the Waters Edge
People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Survivors include his wife, Mollie Gorman;
sons, Kenneth Gorman, Kevin Gorman; daughters, Sandra Gorman,
Marion Shorthair, Mary Vandever; brothers, Billy Gorman, Guy Gorman;
sisters, Mary Rose Corneilson, Veronica Rica, Bessie Begay; four
grandchildren.
Gorman was preceded in death by his daughter,
Elouise Karbetong; parents, Arther Gorman, Nellie Tsosie; brothers,
Robert Gorman Sr., Arther Gorman Jr.; sisters, Helen Brown, Martha
Mitchell, Elouise Tsosie.
Pallbearers will be Roger Yazzie Jr.,
Darrell Begay, Angelo Begay, Danny Denetchee, Greg Morris, Walter
Gorman.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at Catholic Hall, Chinle, following services.

Walter Riedemann
MERLDLAN, Texas Funeral services
for Walter Wayne Riedemann, 42, will be 4 p.m., tonight, Sept.
11, at the Meridian First Baptist Church. The Rev. Richard Creech
will officiate. Burial will be at a later date, in the Blue Ridge
Memorial Gardens, Berkley, W.V.
Riedemann died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008,
near Clifton, Texas. He was born March 17, 1966, in Grants.
Riedemann was raised and educated in Moriarty,
N.M. He owned his own business, WR Construction. He was a kind
and gentle spirit and brought all stray animals home. He accepting
people for who they were and was talented as a carpenter all of
his life.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Riedemann;
children, Mariah, Victoria, Bridget, Devin and Bobby; parents,
Karen Teston, Bobby Howard Riedemann; sisters, Wanda Wilds, Cheryl
Teston; brothers, Wade Riedemann, Dave Teston, Roy Teston, Troy
Teston.
Virginia Salazar
MILAN Private funeral mass for
Virginia Ann Salazar, 53, was 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10, at
the St. Vivians Catholic Church, Milan. Burial followed
at Grants Memorial Park.
Salazar died Sept. 1, 2008, in Milan.
She was born May 28, 1955, in Butte, Mont.
Survivors include her children, Willie
Salazar of Rio Rancho, Denice Salazar of Grants; sisters, Pat
Sena of Albuquerque, Gloria Vigil of Albuquerque; six grandchildren;
one great-grandchild.
Salazar was preceded in death by her parents,
Ricardo Vigil, Rosina Ortiz Vigil; brother, John Daniel Vigil,
Richard Vigil, Wilfred Trujillo.
