Copyright © 2008 PREWITT McKinley County authorities are looking for information about four stolen saddles. They were taken from a stable on or around Aug. 17 and may have been pawned or sold outright, according to McKinley County Sheriffs Departments Chief Investigator Albert Benally. Together the saddles are valued at more than $2,000, as each is a custom design: they include a tan, tree-less Circle Y western cut; a black English saddle with a horn; a brown, gaited saddle bearing a stamp of a gaited horse; and an Abetta saddle with purple and green Aztec decorations, red fibers, a red and white pad and a lime green headstall. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. To reach Crimestoppers in Gallup, call (505) 722-6161. |
